Sounds Like	some or all above some of the time, but actually none of the above most of the time. Maybe i'm just thinking about them when I make music or maybe I wish I sounded like them. When my daughter was born it was a stormy night but as I walked out of the hospital back to the car a gap opened up in the clouds and moonlight flooded out of it. To me it seemed as if angels were rushing back to a door that had opened up to heaven having delivered isabel to us. For a long time after she had a large birth mark in the middle of her back and I thought that was where her wings had been cut off before she was given to us. Winterlight is the music made by Tim Ingham, a laptop and an occasional guitar. When he was younger he played in bands that worshipped My Bloody Valentine and the Cocteau Twins in equal measure, although the nearest they got to success was standing next to Slowdive at the Old Trout in Windsor. After a while other things became more important and he stopped making music. Years later, when he discovered that he could make music on his battered old laptop, the ideas that he had in his head for years came flooding out and became winterlight. Now he makes music late at night with only a laptop and headphones for company. Electronic music made by someone who has never listened to much, winterlight is one part electronica, one part shoegaze, one part melancholy and one part hope. Lullabies without words.

This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger".
