Tim Bowness is a British musician, primarily known as vocalist with the band No-Man (a long-term collaborative project with Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson).
In addition to releasing several albums with No-Man, Tim has worked with popular Italian artist Alice, David Torn, Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine), Roger Eno, and recorded the album Flame (1994) with Porcupine Tree/ex-Japan keyboard player Richard Barbieri.
California, Norfolk (a collaboration with Peter Chilvers) was released in 2002 and Tim's debut solo album, My Hotel Year, and collaboration with Centrozoon (Never Trust The Way You Are), were issued in 2004.
Following the release of No-Man's new studio album, Schoolyard Ghosts, in May, 2008 also promises new releases from a new project with Nosound's Giancarlo Erra, as well as guest appearances on albums by Judy Dyble, Rajna, Stefano Panunzi and The Opium Cartel.
Tim co-runs specialist online label Burning Shed with Peter Chilvers and Pete Morgan.

Hi Tim, thanks for the add. And thank you for all the great songs you wrote. Love & respect,
William -------------------------- I'm working on the new GARDEN WALL studio album (the seventh one). In the meantime our label has released, after some years of various troubles, "Aliena(c)tion", which consists of some unreleased material from 2000 plus some later live recordings. You can hear some samples on Mellow Records and Garden Wall Myspace pages. Cheers, William
Really Love "We are the echoes" off Rajna's Duality. What next for my TBo collection I wonder. I "think" I've completed everything that's been released.... :)
Hello Tim. I wanted to get compliments for your voice, like silk on the skin! When listening to your songs seem to enter a new dimension, different. Thank you!

Tim, it was great to meet you in Zoetermeer. The gig was amazing and very worth going from Spain for that! Wish I had remembered saying a few things, but then I forgot, heee. Hope seeing a No-Man gig soon! Thanks again!
Aloha Tim and thank you for including us in your circle of friends. Please accept our respects and a heartfelt "mahalo" to you for giving the world your beautiful sweet sounds. ~ Namaste Sweet Soul. Wishing you well, Annette, Bia & Dee LaBorte
Hope the rehearsals are going well for the "tour". Am starting to get excited! See you there. I finally got a copy of World of Bright Futures. If only I could find California, Norfolk..... :) Jon
Thanks for posting the Schoolyard Ghosts. A good song in its own right, and it's interesting to see how it evolded into Mixtaped - a song I didn't care much at first but is slowly proving to be one of the standout tracks of Schoolyard Ghosts. I'm looking forward to seeing you live in London next month!
