I am pleased to anounce that my new solo cd titled ’Bang Bang’ is available on the Carter Brothers website (below). All but one tune was written or co-written by me. Joining me on this project are Jim Hurst and Tim Stafford on guitars, Matt Flinner on mandolin, Tim O’Brien on vocal and mandolin, Casey Driessen and Tim Lorsch on fiddle, Alison Brown on banjo, Ross Sermons on bass, Mickey Grimm on percussion and a special appearance by my brother Danny on guitar. I am from North Carolina but have made my home in Nashville, TN since 1994.. I have a band with my brother called the Carter Brothers Band... we are an Americana/Bluegrass band.. using drums, bass, electric guitars with banjo and mandolin.. a Tom Petty meets New Grass Revival mix.. We spent the last few years traveling and playing with Vassar Clements.. (Vassar played on our Cracks in the Floor CD) I play on others sessions, adding banjo/mandolin.. You can hear me on the new "Hank3 Straight To Hell" cd...I'm also a recording engineer, owning my own ProTools studio.. I have engineered GRAMMY nominated records for Phillip Aaberg, Michael Duchet, Darol Anger, Bruce Molsky as well as a GRAMMY winner for Alison Brown... I welcome projects.
