Bio
Tim Chernikoff is a musician from Palo Alto, California. He has studied at the University of North Texas with Stefan Karlsson and Dan Haerle, as well as artists from New York and California. His personal style draws from many sources within traditional and progressive jazz, and his aim is to create music that draws from tradition but moves forward. Never one to deny a sense of humor in a performance situation and a sensitivity to both his artistic aspirations and the element of listener enjoyment, he hopes his audience will recognize the musical elements he brings to the stage yet feel connected to the music regardless of their prior musical background. [or any other reaction that's interesting] Chernikoff has performed in projects in California and Texas. He plays in the Denton and Dallas / Fort Worth areas with original projects, local big bands and small groups, and other engagements. Thanks for checking out the page and listening to the music! Watch for upcoming gigs. -
