About me:

John Donne said that no man is an island, and though I tried it once, I must admit that he was right. I was born in Seattle and spent the majority of my life in Hendersonville, NC. I am constantly amazed by the quantity and quality of the friends that I have been blessed with. I would not be here without them. That being said, I am about as southern as any rock. I am twenty-two, I read a lot, write more, play pool, party, work had and think more than is reasonable. I enjoy almost everything. I am never done learning, and I may never know anything.

Any discussion of me inevitably comes back to writing, I have been working on it daily for more than half my life. I was born with a language processing disorder, communication did not come easily to me. I became fixated on it, it was important to me before anything else- for there could be little else without it. It may seem strange to most people, but I usually fall asleep with a pen in my hand.

I have a deep passion for writing, one might even say that I am consumed by it. I write small poems using smaller words. I play well with others. I am not into self promotion, I like to be discovered. Conversely, when I discover, I love to promote. I am myself, and I feel that this is greater than understanding myself. I believe that being is greater than understanding, and that one often leads to the other. If I was a color, you wouldn't see me. My poems are small and expand, my explanations are large and contract. In one I give you an eye and turn your head, in the other I take an eye and focus in. Your perceptions are of the utmost importance to me, it is how I write. I write so that you may be the artist, and I rarely do it any other way. I am not here to make up your mind, I want to show you what is already there.
