About Times Change(d) High and Lonesome Club

Attention: Winnipeg, United States, and Mexico!!!

As the 95th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic draws near (which we'll be celebrating with the release of The Perpetrator's new album "Tow Truck") I am inspired to put out a newsletter reflecting on some of the highlights of the season. Certainly our recent shows featuring The Perpetrators, Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials, Watermelon Slim and The Workers, and Sue Foley were all beautiful moments.

The impending anniversary of the Titanic's sinking also coincides with our return to the club following the 2003-2004 winter of our discontent. The past three years since our rebirth have been incredible, and there's lots more livin' to do yet. We've come a long way from the days of the $2.00 cover and the "Attention: Whiners!!!" note on the bar. The benevolent ghost of Mark Fortune has indeed been kind to us, and I look forward to toasting his spirit with you at these and other upcoming events as well.

You may or may not be aware that BB Gordon has had a heart attack this past Dec. 21st, and he is now out of the Hospital. He is doing well, however, he needs to get his rest for the next few months and make some major life changes. Doctor's orders! Howard Mandshein of 92 citi fm is putting together a fundraiser this week. He has asked me to collect as many friends and musicians as possible for the event as it is an open stage with hosting band BJ Garrison, Beni D and Co. Please let me know if you will be performing there as all names will be announced on 92 CITI FM this week.
