I'm a middle-aged middle-class singer-songwriter from South London. Sound familiar? Yes, I know - it's another bloke-with-a-guitar, but I think my songs are slightly more varied than average and I have a reasonable line in between-song chat that appears to keep people vaguely amused.
My aim is to play songs with words that move people and music that gets them moving. I'm currently playing gigs around the country to promote my 3 song CD: 'this is all i have'.
If this sounds like your kind of thing then I'm happy to put a copy of my CD in the post or you can listen to the songs on this profile or on my website. Any feedback would be most appreciated - offers of gigs even more so.
you can buy 'this is all i have' on CD for £3 (incl. P%P)
I've got a page on Facebook now as well as this one. If you're on facebook and would like another opportunity to be pestered by me (not like that!) then you can sign up as a fan on that page as well as this one.
hey tim, hope your allright. im trying to book a couple of tours for december and february, just wondering if you had worked with any good promoters anywhere in the country that could potentially help me out? cheers, hope to gig with you again sometime also i had your cd on in the car the other day! dave
Good to meet ya last night matey, i'm friends with the naughty Jermey Ayre so always up for playing when he's on the bill too! I'll pop down for the open mic in croydon soon! Ashley
Thank you for adding “Grapes from Thornbushes”! And welcome to the underground London rock scene, where life is a grim, zero-sum battle for status and attention. The book has a go at describing it and hopefully does it well. The first chapter is in our blog.
Stupid question right? As of 2nd April 2009 I’ll be organising monthly acoustic sessions at what remains one of Southampton’s best-loved venues. I’m looking for the best solos and duos to play 45 minute sets of original material, covers or both. The only ‘rule’ is that you play quality stuff, so if you’re sick of banging out Mustang Sally this could be for you! The evenings will run from 8pm until 11pm with 3-4 acts performing each time, so well worth coming to if you also enjoy hearing other people’s music. Please let me know asap if you’d like to be part of it!
There’s so much great talent in this town, I’m sure we can make this a really cool night. I would really appreciate your support in giving Southampton a superb acoustic music night that will last! :o)
