I don't know. I play chords and melodies come out on top of them. I write them down and add words to them. If I play a distorted guitar under it, they call it rock music. If I play a piano, it's probably pop. If I play an acoustic guitar, they say "nice folk music hippie" and throw bars of soap at me. Sometimes all three instruments make an appearance and then I'm accused of being a "pretentious indie darling".
My tendancy is to write songs that sound like show tunes. This scares me and so most of the time I stifle those urges, but sooner or later I end up arranging horn charts and suddenly I owe the union six figures.
Thanks for making it to the show on Tuesday! If you missed it we'll be at The Comet on Cap Hill tonight playing with some seriously good bands; The Kindness Kind, Lucy Bland and Blue Skies for Black Hearts. Check it out!

Yeah, I thought I had an audio cassette of stuff that you didn't have, but maybe it was just the party footage on VHS that was stuck in my head. I'll see if I can dig those up and digitize them for you in the upcoming months. Text me your current mailing address when you get a chance.
Hey Tim. That tape. You know the one--The Beginning of The End. I have it, and I'm not afraid to use it. I am afraid of sending it through the mail however. What would you like done with it?
Hey...just listened to the Christmas Belles...your song was fantastic! I loved it. The rest are great too, but yours was really great. Not like the high school song at all...hehehehe!
Hi Tim - funny thing .. i recently noticed there was a void in the Rhode Island music scene ... then i remembered you left! Hope all is well in your new hometown!! Happy Music Filled Holidays!! All the Best Joanne
