I am an acoustic instrumental guitarist from Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA). I play mostly original compositions in a mix of styles, including Jazz, Celtic, Bossa Nova, Classical, Flamenco, and other ambient world music styles. I play a steel string Taylor, usually in altered tunings, and a customized nylon string Takemine in standard tuning or Drop D.
I love listening to and playing instrumental guitar music in public settings like parties or restaurants because the music creates a mood and an atmosphere that people can enjoy while having conversations without having to raise their voices.
I began playing guitar at age 15 and my first love was the Spanish classical guitar because I thought it was amazing that so much music could come from just one instrument. Over the years I have also played electric guitar and bass in bands but most recently have returned to acoustic instrumental music.
I owe a huge musical debt to Phil Keaggy, Pierre Bensusan, Michael Hedges and Tommy Emmanuel whose inspiration has kept me playing music all these years. I owe a continuing dept to many other musicians, including the ones on this page, whose music continues to inspire me.

Wow, quality guitar playing! Exactly the sort of thing I would aspire to myself if I could find time to develop my solo guitar repertoire. I'm sure glad someone is on the case. Thanks for the request and all the best, S
Dude, Emerald Isle is sooo cool! I love it. Just thought I'd pop in and say hey. Wanted to keep in touch and let you know I'm still listening to your music. Keep up the good work. Your playing just seems to keep getting better and better. Take care and God bless my friend. jf
I was listening to your music Tim and what a wonderful, healing ambience there is to it. It helped me put some things in persepctive today and I thank you for that. Keep digging deep and creating....
Hi Tim, Back again to hear the new songs. Stand out track for me is "Mist and Stone". I reckon a Mr. Keaggy would be proud of that one. I mentioned "Master & the Musician" before (one of my all time favourite LPs), and Mist & Stone would sit very comfortably on that album. Nice use of delay and ebow (or maybe it's just a sustained guitar?). As usual, a pleasure to listen to. Cheers, Davy
Hi Tim, thanks for your friendship! I just signed with Nu Groove Records and my record comes out nationwide Feb 17th. Lord willing I'll get added to the radio station in Albuquerque and will then get out there for some shows. Thanks for your support! DA
HI TIM!! IT'S TIME TO WISH YOU A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS AND MAY ALL YOUR PLANS COME TRUE IN THE COMING YEAR. HUGS FROM SIBERIA WOODS, TANYA
Thanks for inviting me to be your friend and sharing your music with me...I'm in awe of your guitar playing. I hope our paths cross sometime in Albuquerque.
Hi Tim, Listened to your new stuff- very nice. "So at peace" could be straight from a Phil Keaggy album- especially "Master and the Musician" which is one of my favorites. A pleasure to listen to. Cheers, Davy
Merci beaucoup pour l'ajout ! Je suis tombé chez vous par hasard j'ai pris une pause sur votre page ... Et j'en suis resorti toute détendu =) Bonnne continuation. Biz
