I started playing harmonica at the age of 14. Growing up in Brownsville,Texas, I was exposed to some of my musical heroes including George"Harmonica"Smith, Little Walter, Charlie Musselwhite, Paul Butterfield and Lee Oskar. By Eighteen, I began my professional career playing around the state of Texas performing with rooted South Texas players that were very influential to my musical journey.
Continuing my journey, I moved to Nashville in 1992 where I was privileged to perform and record with such country artists as Toby Keith, Ronnie Milsap, Doug Stone, Pam Tillis, and Lee Roy Parnell as well as, blues artists B.B King, Carl Weathersby, Burton Gaar, Mark Selby, Larry McRae, Chubby Carrier, and Anthony Gomes. This led to the formation of the All-Pro Blues Jam, where all the best blues artists and musicians come to share their music and experiences. Little did they know, these talented players would help inspire my vision for my CD " Straight From The Heart". From Blues and Jazz, to Latin Blues, my dream has come to life. Moving forward I have had the pleasure of playing with Lee Oskar(War), Magic Dick (J Geils Band),The Rev Jimmie Bratcher, Del Castillo, Sean O'Bryan Smith The Brew and the soulful brothers Los Lonely Boys. I look forward to a musical 2009. I'm currently playing with The Rev Jimmie Bratcher.

Timmy! Hey its Cody! I've been playing more and more harp lately. I rigged up this harmonica holder to a mic that attaches directly to the harp, then I go through a couple guitar pedals into an amp. That way I can play guitar and (electric) harp at the same time and get this John Lee Hooker/Canned Heat/Al Wilson thing going. It makes it a 4 piece 3 piece. ...
