Influences
Pedal steel: Buddy Charleton, Bobby Black, Rusty Young, Al Perkins, Sneaky Pete Kleinow, John David Call, Lloyd Green, Buddy Emmons.
Bass: Timothy B. Schmit, Randy Meisner, Kasim Sulton and every other bassist who stays in the pocket and adds vocals to the mix.
I'm a musician living in Central Virginia, where I play bass and sing backup with The Chicago Cy Band; play pedal steel with The Ruinaires; and play pedal steel, dobro and sing backup with The Alternators. I also travel to Myrtle Beach several times a year to play with Big Bam Boom & The L'il Big Band, playing pedal steel and keyboards and adding vocals. However, I like to fill in with other bands as well. I'm a quick study, and I enjoy performing the original material of those with whom I play. I am also available for studio recording work.
OK, OK ... I don't totally hate frets. Occasionally I'll pick up some instrument that has them, but I'd much rather be playing my pedal steel, EUB, dobro or out-of-tune spinet piano that came with the house.

Why, yes Tim. You are absolutely correct. I even understand there is no cover to see these two great bands. I might even tell my friends to come! Gee, what a swell night that will be...
