i'm 21.
i just didn't update this for ages. it's not my favourite age.
but i've said that since 16.
i dont act 21 either.
i'm @ the University of Kent.

i met Kristi at uni.

i'm pretty strange sometimes
it really confuses my friends.
if i didn't they'd be bored.
i always complicate things.
i think i do it on purpose.
it seems to help though.
i dont know why
neither does anyone else.
that doesn't bother me at all.

i wish my life was more interesting
other times...
i wish it was less tiring.
i am always tired.
i dont often let that stop me.

i dont think i'm ungrateful.

i play in Purple Airspace
a three-piece stoner/metal/screamo band
i promise we're heavy
heavier than our myspace suggests.
we've been around for a while.
we intend to be around longer.
we're all from Grays, Essex
i guess thats my home
it doesn't feel like home.

"From above this town looks so grey, who could blame us for wanting out?"

i also play bass in Any Other Day
thats my band at uni.
only been together a short while
had a couple of gigs
playing some covers/originals etc.
indie songs mainly.
i love my two completely different bands!
it means whatever my mood,
brutal or thoughtful,
dirt or pure,
green or blue,
theres somewhere to jam and make music.

bands are amazing
just people in a room
making music
in whichever way they feel comfortable.
(mine is bass)

if only for a few brief moments.
i like it.

than when i was completely free
doing what i really want to.
what i really actually properly need to do.
its the life i love.
it brings me out of my shell.

Andrew Largeman: You know that point in your life when you realize that the house that you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of a sudden even though you have some place where you can put your stuff that idea of home is gone.

Sam: I still feel at home in my house.

Andrew Largeman: You'll see when you move out it just sort of happens one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for your kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place.
