Tim!! Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier... Things here are going good. I've got a new recording interface (Presonus Firestudio Project) and I'm using it with me Mac. hey bro, my thoughts are always the same when it comes to electronics: buy the best for what you are trying to accomplish. i personally like the mesh-feel pads. however, the brain would be critical in my opinion: the td-20 was the last i knew about as far as "best-of-the-best" and the options on that one surpassed the -12 and others in some very useful ways. i wouldn't recommend skimping on the brain. be well my friend~
