Thank's for checking out my profile! Here's a bit of info about myself and my work:
I was born in Omaha Nebraska, I started piano lessons at the urging of my mom who was a piano teacher herself. I soon discovered that the guitar was my passion and began a musical journey that has led me here to Los Angeles. I attended college at North Texas State University, there, I majored in Jazz Guitar performance and met a lot of amazing musicians and gigged, recorded, and jammed all the time. I was working with Jazz artist Joe McBride when I met Richard Smith, head of the Studio Jazz guitar department at USC. He hooked me up with a scholarship and part time teaching position in the guitar department. I recieved my Masters degree and have been a teacher there ever since. Music has taken me to many intersting corners of the world and put me in contact with amazing people and cultures.
I am primarily a guitarist that writes and produces music for a variety of different projects including: film scores, t.v. cues, and artist develop/collaboration.Credits Include: CBS, Gear (Theme Song) Ed, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, Felicity, 48 Hours, MTV, etc.
Some noteworthy projects to date include Modereko (Verve aand Harmonized Records), a jazz and improvisation based jam band that I founded with John Molo nad Bobby Read. We played with Keller Williams, Garage Mahal, The Wailers, Jemima Puddleduck, to name a few. I work and write with R&B artist Jon B. we have a rock band called "The Brothers Buck." I also played with him in Jack Herrera. I put out a Christmas album called "The 25th of December" that should be available this year on line.
Other recent projects include: There There (www.myspace.com/theretheremusic), Writing the film score to the feature film "Angels with Angles" (www.imdb.com/title/tt0179803), and numerous collaborations with the following artists:Bethany Sharayah,Marylin and Allen Bergman,Shelly Berg, Trisha Battani, John Torres,Jimmy Haslip, Michelle Armstrong, Dave Samartin, Stephanie Carlisi, The missing Linx, Banyan, Laura Karpman, J'Nae, James Torme,The Animators, Drew K, Kurrupt, Lindsay Tomasic and others.
I also write/compose for the following music libraries: Killer Tracks, Five Alarm Music, and Frameworks (www.frameworksmusic.com) As a guitarist I have worked every type of gig imaginable, original music, cover gigs, solo guitar etc. I wrote in instructional book called Blues Lessons Volume 3, National Guitar Workshop and Alfred Publishing

hey tim, haven't talked to you for a while. how's LA? write back soon. I'd like to hear about how it's going there. Life's busy here, with three sports going on at the same time as high school academics. We just had our five-day weekend for diwali, and had fun setting off a bunch of fireworks, but that's over now, and it's back to work. Me and my dad are going skiing in switzerland this thanksgiving break, which is coming up in less than a month away now. hi from the rest of the family, write back soon. Jake
Awesome job Friday night on the Joe's Garage gig. I hope you have more opportunities to sub with the band. You and Ken both sounded fantastic. It was great to see you. If you are ever beachside, look me up and let's play some music.
My man!!! The Jud conway record is finally finished! I put a couple tunes up on my myspace; check them out! You sound fantastic, man. You really nailed it on this record, and were such a huge part of the whole sound. I really appreciate all the incredible work! I'll send a few copies out when we get them back from press. Tell all the LA Cats I said hello! Hope we get to jam soon. Peace, -DC in DC
So glad that you were in town to be a part of this project! You did an amazing job! We have a couple of clips up on our page, if you're interested in listening to some of the finished project.

We were pretty disappointed though.
