Tim Lindsey, Bassist-Hatchet, Skynyrd, Rossington Band
I'm working on my own Timeline...it goes way back to when I was 14 years old playin' in Mind Garden with Dave Hlubek and it goes on and on and on up to present.
I could literally play bass 24/7, I love it when I play for an audience who really appreciates my music, whether it is in an intimate small club or for 10,000 or more, and am honored that I feel that my fans get pleasure from what I do as a musician and performer!!
My Preliminary Short Form Bio:
Tim Lindsey, Bass Guitar, vocals and writer, Rossington Band and Molly Hatchet Recording Artist and Skynyrd Bassist, has also backed up Hall of Fame and Country Hall of Fame artists throughout 4 decades, sets the highest of standards in his profession, consistently associated with top music industry artists he continues his unique and outstanding bass talents as bassist for Molly Hatchet.
Born and raised on the West Side of Jacksonville, Tim developed his style alongside other budding artists from the same area of Jacksonville during an unprecedented time in music history.
Like so many of his contemporaries he was influenced by the Beatles, Led Zepplin, Canned Heat, Stevie Wonder and most of the great artists of the era.
A seasoned and accomplished Rock, Blues and Country Artist, Tim is proud to be one of the major heavyweights in Molly Hatchet where he finds great musical fulfillment together with each member who bring their own special magic to this great band.
In Molly Hatchet, he has the rare dual privilege of being able to perform their all time hits for fans throughout the world while he participates in the creation of the best new Southern Rock songs in the modern era.
Every performance speaks for itself as this band packs venues and crowds want more. Back to his roots of Southern Rock, Tim is one integral part of an historically famous band worthy of each of their members' individual talents and you will find out for yourself as you see them live or listen to their new songs on “Warriors of The Rainbow Bridge” and recently released “Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute” featuring many major artists with special ties to in many ways to Skynyrd throughout their history, featuring Charlie Daniels performing with Molly Hatchet on “Freebird” which are just two examples of just how profound the combined talent these five outstanding artists are producing once again in the world of music.
An exerpt from Lynyrd Skynyrd's Timeline which shows the time Timmy filled in for his dear friend, Leon Wilkeson:
"1993" Atlantic Records releases the album, 'Last Rebel,' which comes out twenty years after their first album. Kurt Custer joins the band as drummer. Leon's good friend and former bassist of The Rossington Band, Timmy Lindsey, stood in for Leon from June thru the end of that year, during the Last Rebel Tour. Leon was unable to be with the band for health reasons during that time. You can view Skynyrd’s Timeline at Lynyrd Skynyrd
Music Working on my "TimeLine" spanning over four decades, growing up on the Westside of Jacksonville along with so many other young musicians, many of whom have become major performing artists, even Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, I am trying to go way back there and recall what I can to share many interesting and hopefully inspiring events with everyone.
If anyone happens to have any memories of events occurring at any of my venues we would welcome your stories. Starting with "The Short Circuits" when I was about 13 years old.
