Born way back in the 50's and brought up in a pleasant rural area I was woken up by the Beatles and formed a little school pop band called the Modbeats. As I grew older I listened to everything, started trying different instruments, thanks to The Incredible String Band and really developed the songwriting that I'd started at 10 years old. Formed a band in the late 70's called The Yorkshire Miracle and a few years later went solo, which has been the basis of my work ever since.
I play in the region of 100 instruments (there are full details on my website, www.timmoon.co.uk ) write and sing. I split my time between concerts, session work, working with songwriting and music in the community, working with music in drama, and a little acting on TV, film and stage.
I have 6 CDs currently available, with a 7th well underway, I've played Glastonbury Festival twice and am very contented with my life, my wife and my dog.
The MP3 files I have put up are from the forthcoming album, Invicta, and are here in 'work in progress' form. On 'Wish I Could dance With You' annA rydeR plays French horn and trumpet. On 'Weedkeepers Daughter' James O Dwyer plays fiddle and Rachel Patti adds vocals. Everything else is me. I hope you enjoy these glimpses, the released versions will sound different.
