From dancing to Michael Jackson in front of a large group of people at the age of 2, to picking out tunes on the piano by ear at the age of 3, Timmy Dixon has expressed an enormous passion and natural talent for music and writing. From local karaoke contests, to major talent shows, Timmy was never afraid to perform and showcase his natural musical ability. Until Christmas of 2004, the thought of a career in music never dawned on him. Also at the time, the drums and piano were the main two instruments he played. This all changed when he got his first guitar for Christmas. His initial interest in learning the guitar was strictly to "impress the girls" as he would put it. He decided to take basic lessons at the Abilene Music Studio, where after only one lesson, went home and wrote his first song "I Need You". At his next lesson Timmy showed Karen Kite his song he a written after only playing the guitar for 1 week, completely blowing her away with his natural ability at only the age of 14. "She asked me if I had ever considered a career in the industry," he explains, "and at first I shook it off, but after thinking about it I figured why not do what I love doing more than anything as a job." Karen introduced Timmy to Terry Mashburn, the owner of an excellent Pro Tools recording studio called Big Note Studio where he recorded for the first time. Over the next couple of months, he wrote more songs including "My Days", "Just Dreams" (which was later re-written to become the hit single "Just a Dream") and "Captive" He debuted his first single called "Captive" in July of 2005, and also created a Myspace for his songs, which immediately gained many hits. After his CD release, Timmy began to continue to write songs and post on myspace, slowly building a following of fans very blown away by the ability of someone at such a young age. In October of 2005, Timmy wrote his first major online hit "Perfect" which was an acoustic love song that streamed over 50,000 hits on Myspace, and that following spring, wrote what is still noted today as his biggest hit "Ten Mile Bridge"
That summer, Timmy decided it was time to record a second album with his newer, more updated songs on it. He decided to once again record this album at Big Note Studio, where he met Gordon Cotten, who had been in the music industry for a very long time playing keyboards for the John Entwistle Band, performing at Woodstock '99. Gordon took an immediate liking to Timmy's music, stating that his songs are all simply "full of hooks", and decided to help produce and arrange his music. In August of 2006, Timmy released his second album called "Ten Mile Bridge" and performed live shows around the area. It was hard for him to get some gigs simply because he was only 16 and half the places were 18 and older clubs, which didnt stop him from getting his music out any way possible. Timmy, who was a two time all district wide receiver for his high school's football team and a member of the National Honor Society, spent the next year and a half strictly focusing on his school, and also focusing on the development of his writing, singing, and playing abilities.
Timmy met back with Gordon in January of 2008, whom was immediately blown away with the maturity of Timmy's voice and songwriting. He decided it was time to take things to the next level, and record his third album in Nashville on spring break of 2008, recording new songs such as "Carry On", "Just A Dream", "Glimpse", "Another Reason", and "Second Chance". These new songs immediately reeled in thousands and thousands of hits on myspace, whom his fans were very happy with this newer, more rock sound. Timmy, now at the age of 18 still seems to have a very bright future ahead of him in the music industry. With nearly 300,000 hits on myspace and 31,000 friends, Timmys ready to take his talent to new heights in hopes of letting his powerful music reach people all over the world.

Timmy Dixon ... :o) Been a minute, but wanted to come thru and show some love.... Keep doing ya thang... and don't let ANY body EVER tell you,"You Can't!" The mind is incredible. If you believe, you CAN achieve. Don't give up on your destiny, it NEVER gives up on you.
