  • Bio

I've played guitar since 1980; been part of a number of local bands, projects and tours until dropping out of playing in the late 90's. A couple years ago being a bit musically frustrated, and getting a musical kick from ..'The Atlantics'.. music -I picked it up again and started to write instrumentals just for fun. I'm influenced by surf guitar but I also like to experiment a far bit. Thanks for dropping by; I appreciate your comments and try and listen to other people's original music on MySpace too. Stay in touch! My YouTube channel is "Eastperson" http://www.youtube.com/user/eastperson

Mainly me multi-tracking Jim O appears on drums on 'grip and rip' otherwise for beats I use TU2 sequencer, Alesis SR16 Drum machine, Hammerhead and other bits and pieces I find lying around.

Bio:

I've played guitar since 1980; been part of a number of local bands, projects and tours until dropping out of playing in the late 90's.

A couple years ago being a bit musically frustrated, and getting a musical kick from 'The Atlantics' music -I picked it up again and started to write instrumentals just for fun. After stacking up a number of tunes I decided to send them out to friends.

More recently I've been getting into surf music old/new because it's fun to play. I'm influenced by surf guitar and a lot of other music -and - as you've noticed; I also like to experiment a bit. If you like surf guitar I'd highly recommend this site Surfguitar101which has a wealth of discussion, links and downloads.

I guess I'll keep on playing with a band or without 'cause I just like playing that there guitar...thanks for visiting...

Here's a surf video by Realsurf.tv I was privileged to have one of my tunes "In the Soup" used as the backing music.

When I have time, I make "film clips" to go with the music. Most of it is art-school type of stuff - so don't expect professional, it's just me experimenting and trying out ideas:

Favourite music is often from the 60's but I like -anything- that's got a beat, a good melody and sounds good to my ears!
