My name is Timo Räisänen and I was once a little swedish/finnish/indian boy who most of all wanted to be a rockstar. So when I reached the age of three I learned to play the flute (as I got older and wiser I picked up the guitar). Fifteen years and an equal amount of rockbands later, I met this boy named Håkan Hellström and all of a sudden I was part of one of Swedens biggest pop sensations ever as his sidekick. As an incredible experience that was, I felt that there was something missing. I joined a band called Her Majesty only to discover that I still wasn..t happy. One night when I and sound engineer Hans Olsson were putting the final touch to the bands second album I wrote a song, and I called it Lovers are lonely. Just one year later, in 2005, my first own record was released and named after that very tune.
I was now a solo artist and I started to look around for a band of my own. Of course Hans would be in it, he was after all my right hand in the making of the album and I considered him my most loyal companion. Then there was Patrik Herrström, my old friend from Her Majesty and the best drummer in the whole wide world. As it happened I came across a wonderful person in a retro clothing shop who not only was the most romantic young man I..d ever met, he was also a guitarist and his name was Niels Nankler. Niels wanted to bring in his room mate as a bass player which turned out to be a great idea, because Joel Magnusson was a handsome guy who would make the girls love the band everywhere. The five of us went on tour and apart from Hans being a little cranky every now and then, Patrik having some serious time issues, Joel getting all the girls and Niels ending up on a roof in every city we visited, I was truly happy. As soon as the tour ended I started writing on a second album and this time there wasn..t just going to be whiny love songs on it. I wanted it to rock!
I..m Indian came to be a great album, and I must have been a darn good rocker too cause I would later on proudly receive an award as the best Swedish Male Artist in the year of 2006.
I want to thank my fans and all of you who work with me in my goal to make the world a better place and for Timo Räisänen to be the greatest rockstar ever, and I give you Love will turn you around.
