Being a solo singer-songwriter means taking on a lot of roles. Apart from being the singer, the songwriter, the guitarist, the backing vocalist (sometimes) and even the roadie, there are other behind-the-scenes jobs which I take on all the time.
Recently I was busted by a Health and Safety Inspector because I was humming while jay-walking. So this week I was unanimously voted into the newly created role of Timothy Cannon Junior Assistant Health and Safety Officer. Hence the new posters.
I'm very excited about the role, because it means that my upcoming show at Spensers Live (419 Spencer St) will probably be my safest yet.
But don't worry, this doesn't mean that all of a sudden I'm going to go all lame on the music front. I'm still going to folk-out as hard as ever.
One of my visions as Junior Assistant Health and Safety Officer is to eventually supply all audience members with stylish stack-hats. Unfortunately at the moment, there's no room in the budget for a plethora of stack hats, so you'll have to bring your own or borrow mine.
Hope to catch you down at Spensers, and in the mean time, ROCK ON SAFELY!
No problem im going to add you on my music list haha don't know if you would remember me I was the girl at spensers live last week we were there when you left, next to the stage talking to you haha
Cheers Tim!! I should totally get my engineer onto your stuff.. i reckon he'd make it sound gorgeous ;-P I'll most definitely keep you lot in the gig loop. Likewise now too! Really keen to hear your stuff live.. not just in a little studio with a highschool pic of stass attached to a mic stand. Nadene..
oh awsome, sounds good lol yeah ive been writting a bit, and im getting my mate to sing for me which is good ahh ive been trying to stay out of trouble.. gets hard sometimes ;) lol
