 
If there was ever one word to describe Timothy Michael, it would be the word 'UNIQUE.' Born and raised in New York City, TM has been around music since the day he was born... TM would begin to venture his own interests into the music world at the age of 12... "I believe the first record I ever purchased was Walking on Sunshine... I was coming home from school and this new record shop had opened up around the corner from my house, so I stopped in after my baseball practice, and I was hooked from there." Now some 20 years later, Timothy is still doing what he loves, making beats & spinning records, yes he said VINYL records (don't sweat the verbage he loves the digital world, too).... "One of my greatest satisfactions in life is watching and making people dance, while I put together a set, or if it's a beat that I created, I enjoy the moments while people are dancing... I believe it takes a great DJ to touch someones soul while playing a set, it is something that one is blessed with, I believe... and from what I've been told, some would say, that I have been blessed."
Timothy has a style he likes to call his "Culture Blend," TM doesn't like to categorize what type of music he plays, his sound is best described by a lengthy set, one of his signature sets... He doesn't play many anthems, and his track-listing certainly isn't pulled from the new release section of the local record shop or website... TM searches near and far, to add Vinyl or Digital to his collection... And his Vinyl collection is quite large, for 20 years Timothy has been adding to his shelves, with over 10,000 tracks to choose from, TM has an impressive Vinyl collection... Timothy has the utmost respect for his craft, as well, and the highest level of respect for the many people within the dance music industry, "it's all about the vibe, the music & the people..." TM plays his sets in true underground fashion, from Hi-NRG to Deep House, from Progressive to Led Zepplin, there are no labels or boundaries within his sets, nor on his style, as he would simply put it "I play good music." With superior mixing skills, Timothy's influenced by some of the greatest jocks in the world and of all time... Junior Vasquez is his biggest influence and mentor... "David Morales, Larry Levan, Junior all these DJ's are my biggest influence, they all know how to capture an audience in the palm of their hand, in real time... All their DJ skills are done on the fly, running 3 tables, samplers, FX processors, all this on beat and in time with the crowd! That is what a true DJ is all about in my book, being able to elevate the crowd through realtime mixing techniques, without the crowd knowing what hit them... For me, matching beats is essential, you MUST be flawless..." TM also tips his hat to Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez and Carl Cox, all these DJ's have created a sound of their own, and are a model for all DJ's today to look after and emulate...

In April 2001 TM entered a DJ contest, for the world famous nightclub, Twilo (NYC)... With over 300+ entries sent to club, from all over the globe, Timothy was one of the 5 finalists chosen, from the hundreds, to showcase his talents center stage @ Twilo... Not only was TM one of the 5 chosen, but he was the only one chosen from New York City, to represent the city in true nightclub fashion... His opening selection immediately threw the crowd into a frenzy, and when the first beat kicked in, the dancefloor exploded with people dancing everywhere! With that, TM was immortalized in a 'limited edition' Twilo scrapbook of events and memories from the world famous nightclub... The publication was put together by the owners of Twilo, to give those who represented and made Twilo what it is, an everlasting memory for one of the best nightclubs ever, on earth... With this honor added to his background, TM is very proud of this single accomplishment compared to his many others...
