Influences
Irish/Celtic music speaks to me, and sometimes I wonder if I am just singing music I composed in a previous lifetime...Dixieland Jazz also is a fun style to write in that lends itself well to humorous compositions. Some of my songs have latin undertones as well. Many musicians, poets, authors, friends, and life experiences inspire me to be creative... Longtime influences include Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, Woodie Guthrie, Delta Blues and New Orleans Ol' style jazz & ragtime...More recently getting into ONCE soundtrack's Glen(the Frames) & Marketa,Death Cab For Cutie, Nickel Creek, Nick Drake, The Avett Brothers..
SWEETTHANG
Sounds Like
My music is a melding of Folk/Pop/Blues and Bluegrass as well as Americana/Roots and Alt Country...each song is a unique writing experience and as such I try to approach with fresh vision. Some have said my vocals remind them of Death Cab’s Ben Gibbard, Paul Simon, Graham Nash, and even Donovan. Musically my tunes have been compared to everyone from Cat Stevens, Ryan Adams, Simon & Garfunkle to the Grateful Dead and others...

Judges Feedback: "1/2 Wiccan & 1/2 Miz Thang" "This is a cool song for sure. It is similar to a a stew made from whatever happens to be available, creating a complex and delicious meal, except this one is for the ears. Excellent work"................................................................................................................................................................................
