Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, attended college in the Midwest and completing a ten-year tour in the capital of the South, Atlanta, writer and producer Timothy State no longer knows how to pronounce anything. With a degree from Lake Forest College in Sociology & Anthropology and minor in Metropolitan Studies, he’s learned how to blend into any situation as an unseen observer, bringing his readers face-to-face with off-the-wall and unexpected situations that are strikingly funny while providing insight into the human condition.
While in Atlanta, his acerbic views of the world were published regularly by an Atlanta newspaper group. In 2004, he was recognized as one of Georgia’s “Newest and Most Promising Writers” by the O, Georgia! Writers Foundation. His blog, “Balancing Boyfriends” has been highlighted by The Bottom Line Magazine as a “Best Gay Blog,” and by HomoMojo.com’s “Best of Gay Blogging.”

State also has extensive experience writing for corporate America. His clear, conversational style makes even the driest materials sizzle.
State's perspective isn't just limited to writing. His video work has been featured in Image Film and Video's "Shorts Slam!", and his "Postcards from Graceland" - perspectives from a road trip to the 20th Anniversary Commemoration of Elvis Presley's passing - has been adapted for stage by an Atlanta theatre company.
State publishes several websites and puts corporate America’s sites to shame by attracting an average of more than 240 unique visitors a day, with over 30% of his visitors visiting over 15 minutes.
