Tim, Jim and Patrick are musicians with considerable experience playing a variety of styles in different venues. They decided to take elements of the blues, rockabilly, alt. country and swamp music they had been playing and bring them together in a Honkytonk band - one with only upbeat, uptempo, roadhouse approved party time songs in its repertoire.
They took the best of the songs they had written and put them with well-chosen selections from other artists they admired - John Fogerty, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle - and some from the blues canon, reworked in their own individual way.
'We realised that if you're going to play songs that aren't well-known, they need to be instantly accessible. We've found a high level of acceptance of this repertoire'.
The band plays with the passion, spontaneity and improvisation of a blues band, but there is no slow blues here. Likewise you can hear echoes of rockabilly but this is no revival band.
'We write songs in the here and now, so this is really a contemporary roots rock band. Above everything else, though, is the upbeat vibe'.
