THANK YOU
First off, I want to thank you for stopping by. I especially want to thank you if you decide to add this site as a friend.
INTRODUCTION
My name is Tim. This is the fourth myspace page I’ve created. One is mine, the second is for my friends bar, and the third is a tribute to our troops. This was the toughest to put together as far as content. This is page is for the most part a collection of things from other websites. I say this site was tough to put together for two reasons. One is that there’s a lot of good September 11th sites out there, so it was hard to narrow down what stuff I wanted to put here. The other is the emotions that were revisited while looking at all the tributes out there on the net. I personally didn’t lose anyone on September 11th, but that day and the days following were the toughest few days I’ve ever experienced. I remember that morning like it was yesterday. The shear shock and bewilderment I felt. Having a lump in my throat until that Saturday. This wasn’t just a tragedy for New York, or even America. This was a tragedy that affected the world. You can look at the pictures to the left and the list below for proof. There’s a saying that everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. On the days right after September 11, 2001 the whole world was American. The way this country (and the entire world) responded and pulled together is something I’ll never forget.
In the span of one hour and forty-three minutes (8:45 – 10:28) on the morning of September 11, 2001; 2996 innocent people were murdered. These people were: sons, daughters, moms, dads, grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, husbands, wives, cousins, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. This page is dedicated to those people, along with their family and friends. You will always be remembered.

FLIGHT 93
The 40 victims on that were on Untied Airlines flight 93 were the first casualties of the “war on terror”. On that plane is where the first battle took place. Several people made phone calls and found out what had just happened in Washington D.C. and New York City. It quickly became apparent that they were part of a suicide mission that was going to strike a target on the ground. They knew that their plane was going to be used in the same way that flights 11, 77, and 195 were used. They had two options. One was to sit back, do nothing, and hope for the best. The other option was to try to stop the hijackers from completing their mission by any means necessary. They decided to go with the second option. What I love most about this is the way they decided to fight back. They voted! Voting is what makes a democracy. The terrorists were making an attack against democracy. So, the thing they (the terrorists) were fighting against is what stopped them from completing their mission. It is believed that with knives, cans of pop, boiling water, seat cushions as shields, and other items they stormed the cockpit and forced the crash of their flight before it was able to hit its intended target. The plane was heading due west before making a sharp left turn over Cleveland, Ohio to the southeast. It was on a straight line toward Washington D.C., most likely heading for the White House or the Capital Building. These 40 heroes saved the lives of a countless number people in Washington D.C.

I would like to express my deep sorrow to all of the families and individuals affected by this tragedy. It is truly a sad time for the world. I hope we can all come through this with a better understanding of how small this planet is, and how much we all need to pray for peace. - submitted from: Portland OR United States on 9/17/2001 1:13:52 AM
THAT DAY WILL NEVER LEAVE MY MIND. IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE SOMETHING SO HORRIFIC CAN HAPPEN SO CLOSE TO HOME. I PRAY FOR ALL THE FAMILIES WHO LOST LOVED ONES. MY HUSBAND IS A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER ON L.I., AND HE HAS TWO FRIENDS (REAL LIFE BORTHERS) WHO ARE STILL AMONG THE MISSING. I PRAY THAT GOD BLESS THEIR SOULS AND TAKE THEM HOME. I HAVE SUCH A GREAT RESPECT FOR THE MEN & WOMAN WHO'S CAREER HAS THEM RISKING THEIR LIVES EVERYDAY, TRYING TO KEEP US SAFE, AND A GREATER RESPECT FOR THOSE WHO VOLUNTEER TO DO SO. WE TAKE FOR GRANTED THE MEN AND WOMAN WHO SERVE ON OUR POLICE FORCES & FIRE DEPARTMENTS, AND RESCUE CO'S. I NOW SEE THEM IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT, AND WILL NEVER TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!! I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, AND PROUD TO HAVE ALL THOSE MEN & WOMAN PROTECTING ME. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! - submitted from: DEER PARK NY United States on 10/10/2001 7:33:15 PM

I was suppose to go to Stuyvesant high school which is located only a few blocks away from the twin towers. I was born in NYC and lived there intill I was 15. My father works right next to the towers. I have not seen my father in two years, I am in Africa now. I thought he died in the tragedy. I was so scared. I am the proudest American there is. I cry whenever I think about all the people I know who died. My heart still hurts Immensely. May god Bless all the victims of sept. 11th. I love you all, but god loved you more. It's been a year now since you've been gone, I can't believe it's been that long. Man I miss you I wish you were here, you meant the world to me and others near. In out hearts strong and true, we'll never stop loving you. If I only knew the words to say to describe the pain in our hearts that day. I thirst for the knowledge of why you are gone, and everyday it makes me strong! I love you so much, you didn't know at the time. BUT I WILL HAVE YOU KNOW, THEY WILL PAY FOR THIS CRIME! Today marks the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on our nation. Today is just one year since our nation grew STRONGER and more UNITED that ever. One year has passed and not a day passes by without remembering how bad I felt knowing that our nation had been attacked and know that a lot of innocent people trying to make a living died in the World Trade Center. A lot of Moms, Dads, Grandparents, friends, and relatives went to heaven without even knowing. I just remember going into my Health class late as usual (senioritus) and my teacher did get after me. Suddenly I saw the television on and saw her staring and the screen with tears in her eyes. It was just a horrible feeling that I got in my stomach. I had never seen our nation in such horrible crisis and people on the other side of the world celebrating and burning our nations flag. My sorrow goes to all the Proud Americans that lost thier loved one. But always remember about the song that says" Where were you when the world stop turning." As a sign of our nation growing stronger and with prosperity.

I give my deepest condolences for the victims and their families. I was so hurt that another country can do this to the one country that pays more attention to them than their own. I had my son one month before this happened and for him to be just 1 month and have to have this go on it brings distraught to the soul. Then when they said another plane may be headed towards Denver, CO I was sure that my son and I was gonna die. But that didnt happen. To all the men and women who sacrificed their lives to save most of those that were unfortunate thank you. GOD BLESS THE MILITARY AND THE NAVY DURING THIS WAR AND GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER CITIZENS. - submitted from: Colorado Springs CO United States on 1/10/2003 3:20:09 PM
Today started as it did two years ago, a beautiful morning with the sky a bright blue and sun gently shining down. I have been to the site of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and it is with awe and respect that I embrace the people killed, the lives affected and the many heroes that emerged on that bright September morning.
We wil never forget you!

Nation Of Survivors
In the bright September morning without warning to us all
A few thousand lives were shattered and we watched two buildings fall
And a billion souls felt empty, and the flags at half-mast fly
In the memory of the innocent which didn't have to die
We've lost brothers, sisters, cousins. We've lost family and friends
But we've made the choice not to forget their lives and tragic ends
Though we've had our share of troubles we have put them all aside
As a nation grieves we find ourselves defending them with pride
We're a nation of survivors, with one heart we share a tear
But we live to serve the memory, not giving in to fear.
Though they try to take security with the things they've done and said
All their acts of inhumanity bring unity instead.
So we stand here as a family. One heart, one soul, one voice.
We are challenged by this moment, and united here by choice.
Jack Foshee Jr., Sept 12, 2001. – Wylie, TX
Cowardly Dogs
What horror have you wrought?
Cowardly dogs!
You will not see
The faces of those who will never be whole.
You will not hold
The sobbing mother, father, daughter, son.
You will not dig
Through ashes and stone,
Praying for any spark of life.
Your heart will not break.
You will not cry a thousand tears.
You will never know
That America will stand.
Melinda Daine – Mobile, AL
The Sky Is Falling...
The sky is falling,
Ashes rain on ashen faces
People shake their heads in woe,
Isn?t Hell supposed to be below?
The sky is falling,
Death has come on silver wing
People wring their hands in fear,
How could this have ever happened here?
The sky is falling,
As the giants slowly die
People cry for what is lost,
Innocents should never pay the cost.
The sky is falling...

The Tuesday from Hell
Another dark story in the history of man,
I write it down as best as I can
This is my way of honoring those who died,
all those hurt the day the whole world cried
It started as a normal day
All hell broke lose along the way
A thunderous crash
A city cowered in ash
Two great towers suddenly lost
Those trapped inside paid the highest cost
Three more explosions shakes the nation under attack
The shock waves spread over a world gone black
People everywhere cries in confusion
Who’s behind this terrible intrusion?
So many innocents are left in pain
The memory will long remain
Never will we forget the day from hell
If the world will ever heal no one can tell
Peter Lundstrom - Sweden
Attack
A normal day
At a desk
Early September
At it's best
I hear a crash
And a scream
The building next to me
So it seems
The tower topples
Another falls
All the horror
I see it all
My life is changing
Very fast
My wife was a victim
Of that blast
Out of the building
And into the street
An aircraft lies
At my feet
My life is over
I cannot bare
The loss of my lover
Forever take care
Teresa Ann Moore – Kansas City, KS
End of Innocence
The end of our innocence
Was seen in twisted steel,
In shattered glass and hearts
Of those who cannot feel.
What tainted mind could
Ever dream of this?
What dark heart would
Ever make it real?
Our hopes and dreams drown
As a mourning nation cries,
From sea to salty sea
Tears run from every eye.
How can we recover
from this loss?
How can our hearts
Begin to heal?
Together we must stand,
For they want us to fall.
And even through this tragedy
America stands tall
Heather E. Armstrong - Landisburg, US
Through the eyes of a child
She says Daddy do they think its a game?
Everything’s changed and doesn’t look the same
He rides with mother there’s debris and smoke
Did someone think that this was a great joke
He’s heard her cry and her worry scares him
Nothing’ll be the same for families again
How can we be a world who is our friend
One child cry’s, and ones laughter never ends
Where have we gone wrong and when will we try
See the world through the eyes of a child
Daddy wont be home tonight or ever again
his job was saving lives now his has ended
They don’t understand really how could they
They only hope it gets better someday
Her big brother might have to go to war
her daddy isn’t there he died the year before
There’s no school today The skies still grey
I am sad, yet I see you laugh and play
Why do you hate me what have I done to you
I’m a child in the world no different then you

" 9/11/01- N.Y.C. "
The day started out,
Like any other.
It was 8:45 A.M.
The norm was shattered,
By psychopaths.
Silver birds from the sky,
Slammed into shining twin peaks.
The orange inferno,
And clouds of white,
Ended what we knew,
As another day.
I wish,only,peace and comfort,
To those left behind,
And an eternity of unrest,
To those who planned,
And carried out,
This outrageous deed.
May all the victims,
Of this unforeseen tragedy,
Rest In Peace!!!

I will not accept any comments if it contains bad language (the bad stuff like s***, f***, etc.) or if it is offensive (discriminates people based on their age, race, religion, etc.).
I will basically only accept comments that are about me (good or bad), the site (good or bad), or are supportive of the victims of 9/11. Comments that say “thanks for the add”, “happy whatever holiday”, and the like are also welcome. Sorry, but all other stuff (including but not limited to political stuff, and your thoughts about who is responsible for the attacks) isn’t for this site.
Thanks for following these few simple rules.
