..Tim Urban, born in Tacoma, WA moved to Duncanville, Texas when he was five years old with his family. Tim is one of ten children in his family. He is number 6. He began playing music when he was 13, along with football, golfing, basketball and air soft with his church family. Tim grew up in a Christian household and in 2006 went on a Royal Servants mission trip to Europe. Tim also did other missions work in the states and in Africa. Tim began pursuing music in 2006 and began performing around the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his band. Tim played at various coffee shops, clubs such as The Door in Dallas and Six Flags over Texas. In 2007 Tim caught the acting bug and auditioned for a play at the local community college. He landed him a small singing part, but fell in love with acting. He then later appeared in two more musicals at the local community college. In 2008 he began playing regularly at a hotel and restaurant. In 2009 Tim joined AMCT (Actors, Models and Talent for Christ) and did acting, modeling and singing. Summer of 2009 Tim auditioned for American Idol in Dallas after some friends told him to do it. Little did he know he would make it to the next round. Also in 2009 he landed the starring role Joseph in the musical, Two from Galilee. In 2010 Tim was sent home Hollywood week, to later find out he was coming back. Tim placed 7th on season 9 of American Idol. He was sent on the Idol Gives Back. He is also looking to pursue acting as well in the months to come.
