Timur Lenk were formed from the ashes of two seminal ithaca metal bands in the month of february 03' (I think)...Sid Burke (who had previously played with the late/great Minor Infraction) had unfortunately been up to nothing metal and Andrew Priest had just been displaced with the split-up of Knives!...and so an unholy alliance was brought together in the hopes of re-populating the stagnant ithaca scene with a new metal hero (sure to fall under the blade of scene mediocrity, once again)...After many practices and no practices and lots of elapsed time, Sid and Andrew decided to enlist the help of Sid's former band mate and lead singer schizo, Brian Dayheart (after trying out a slew of singer flakes and ousters). Shortly thereafter we were joined by the likes of Andrew's roommate, Eric Metal, Whom had decided to start playing the bass (since we practiced in the basement and he liked what he heard)...still not content with what line-up we had, a certain mr. Jake Nash (also an X-minor infraction alumni) was enlisted upon his return from the muddy banks of england (or the crowded streets of london, more like it) and Timur Lenk was finally complete. We played a shit load of shows and eventually got pretty darned good (only slightly represented in the Demo-BARN-sessions which we hear on this site), but then calamity struck and andrew left the band to move to NYC (and indeed, still he misses and yearns for another day when the mongol bastard sons of a forgotten beast rise again!!!)...well, all drama aside...timur Lenk have popped up a couple times since their, "LAST" show..and I imagine that we will again...perhaps soon.
