I am a lay pastor and theater set builder who happens to be married to the must wonderful wife a guy can ask for (she has to be wonderful in order to stay married to me). I'm attracted to vintage objects (partly because there shiny), but that does not mean that I live in the stone age...it just might mean I'm a red neck. I don't claim to have all the answers, but I enjoy questions and starting conversations.
My 5 Doctrinal Statements:
1. God is a Trinity who exists and is the self-existent creator of all.
2. Jesus is fully God and fully human; he died for our sins, rose from the dead to give us new life, and will return again.
3. Human beings are created in the image of God. We have each rebelled against God's kingdom and are in need of the salvation that he alone can provide.
4. God's salvation comes to us through trusting the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and is given to us by grace alone. Nothing we can do can earn God's favor.
5. The Bible is inpired by God and is authoriative over everything on which it speacks.
The world does not need a new definition of Christianity, but a new demonstration.
