Wallis has played the guitar professionally for over 35 years. Tim Wallis is one of the most creative stringbender guitarists and inventors in the business. He blends Western Swing, Country, Jazz and Rockabilly with amazing virtuosity. His guitar inventions include the Timara B&G Stringbenders, String Drop, Dingo Electric Guitar Stand, the VAMP amp Stand and Compact Acoustic Guitar Stand.
Tim is an award winning Guitarist, Inventor, Writer, Producer, Radio and TV Host. Tim's also Internet Radio pioneer. He launched both WKRP.FM and SteelRadio.com.
You'll most likely find Tim coming up with a new invention/design or producing a new song or video. One thing is for sure, you'll never find him relaxing. And his sense of humor, to put it bluntly.... the man is CRAZY!.

1971:
Played his 1st gig, at the age of 9
1973:
Begins playing guitar with the family band.
1976:
He was working 5 nights a week in the area bars. That year, at the age of14, he bought a 1947 Dodge Coupe at a rummage sale and, with no drivers
license, drove himself to gigs ...... before the Police caught him.
1985:
Tim with his Band Thin Ice won 1st place in IL and WI in the True Value Showdown
and 2nd in the USA.
1989:
Began his own line of B&G Stringbenders for the guitar. He named the Company
Timara
after his daughters Timika and Sara.
1991:
Tim was under Contract with Warner Brothers as a singer/songwriter and musician.
1994:
Won Songwriter of the Year from the ICMA.
1994:
Hosted the WDZQ Radio Morning Show for 5 years and still played guitar in his
band several nights a week.
1999:
Tim launched two Internet Radio Stations, WKRP.FM and Steel Radio.
2002:
Began writing, producing, directing and hosting the TV show Pickin
on the Prairie. The show aired on the local WB Channel and Public Access. It
featured musicians, spoof bits and interviews.
Currently:

Hey Uncle Tim!! I need help. I am learning how 2 play jonny be good, im hitting all of the notes but it's not coming out like the recording. idk if there is a specail tuning or if there is a trick or something that I have not learned. How do u play it>?
