Justin "X" Myles Grinnell (token hippie): Bass (post Nagler), long hair, berkenstocks (Now in San Diego after finishing his masters in Jazz on the bass.)

Other people to have graced the stage with Tin Circus include: Brian Carl Hess (yes yes), Julie Adel (frumpy) Frampton (hooters), Isaac Lamar (Nate's cousin), Dan Norris (John Paul's brother), Aaron Four, Aaron Lehr, and a few others that would be pissed if anyone actually cared to look at this page.
Unofficial members: Jason Withrow (Elephant man) & Heidi, Mike Tounian (kick ass fan/friend of the band), Adam Brown (should have been our mascott, but at least he's on the first CD, if only as a picture), Alan (what ever happened to him?), Benji (killer DJ), Kyle Plyler (lives in SoCal and still does music/art), Sabrina & her underwear (and Kat), Daisey (head "boobie girl"), and anyone else that ever jumped up on stage in a tank top to shake their boobies with TC.
Influences
Less Than Jake, Let's Go Bowling, The Conspiracy, Blind Spot, Slow Gherkin, Monkey, Mighty Mighty Boss Tones, Skankin' Pickle, Law Suit, Red Session, Real Big Fish, The Toasters, The Specials, and too many more to mention. (Oh yeah, Josh will kill me if I don't say "Pet Shop Boiz")
Sounds Like
The best damned Ska band in the entire universe (except the ones that are better)
This may or may not be the profile of the Santa Rosa, CA SKA band of the same name.
Tin Circus was started by Josh and Judah in 1995. Many people filtered through the band over the years and they had the honor of playing with some of the best bands in the third wave ska movement. Tin Circus sold thousands of their debut (and only) CD "Picture This" and had a dedicated following of young fans all over the bay area. Sadly, they are not really missed.
Some other bands and musicans that members from TC have played with over the years include: Conspiracy, Fallout, Way Shape and Form, Passenger Five, Blind Spot, The Velvet Teen, Eric Lindell, Groove Juicy, Three Within, Little Tin Frog, Adam Theis, Siren, Onelinedrawing, FIRE BAD!!! Weirdbeard, Rock Soup, and prolly 100's more.

OK I'm logging into MySpace for the first time in almost a year just to post this comment. I'm ready to get the chops back and play a show. I've got the ole CD playin. I see back in 2008 there were groanings of a possible show. What about in '09 ?!?!?!?!?
Glad you liked it! I seem to remember seeing a shirt or something with a logo that looked suspiciously similar to my design and thinking "RIP OFF!"
I'm shocked that I can successfully tag at least half of the bands from 90s Sonoma County with current MySpace accounts. I'm also shocked that there's a current band called Yellow Snow made up of kids who look to be under 14! What is it about Yellow Snow that Sonoma County kids find so appealing? I'm also surprised that it's the biggest Sonoma County bands from the 90s that don't have ANY mention on MySpace or anywhere else on the internets! I can't find S.E.E.D., 3rd Degree, 26MPH, Siren, The Blockheads or just about any other mid-sized group. Or how about Blind Spot, Slow Gherkin or Skatz 007?
i have now spent enough time listening to all your songs i have learned each one of them on the drums.... wish i could have seen you guys back in the day
Scottie and Nate are too busy with new kids and work. Nate has three jobs and had his drums stolen! Scottie doesn't have an amp anymore. I live in SF and don't have a car so it was going to be a pain to get up there. Josh deserves no blame for this as he was entirely into it. JP was good for it too.
We are sorry. We all want to do it next year or the year after!
If someone wants to guarantee us a lot of money we'll do it! LOL! It's just not possible to make it a priority at this point.
Thank you all for the love. You haven't heard the last of us!
Alright people - I came down from Seattle for the last one (thanks to those who know what the thanks is for) and I'll do it again. . . . just make it a weekend and I'll be there, keep me in the loop.
Seriously! We are talking about it, but it's not a sure thing. We are going to have a meeting and set things up if we can in a couple weeks. N8 and Scottie have young kids and no one could blame them for not wanting to take this on right now. We are also waiting to see if Robin is going to be in S.R. in August or not. If he is, we might shoot for while he's in town.
At this point, the list of possibly interested people include: Scottie (Guitar Vox) N8 (Drums) JP (Bass) Josh (Trumpet Vox) Robin (Alto Sax) Matt (Bari Sax)
I contacted Judah to tell him that he could be involved in any way he wants to, but I havenot heard back from him. He gave us his blessing last time and didn't want to be involved, so I guess it's the same this time as well.
We will keep you up to date when we know things, but we won't know anything for sure for a couple weeks.
