The Tingler utilize a relatively modest, yet flexible recording set-up. The plan is to capture performance during the recording process and not to be hindered by technical considerations, nor evaluation of performance during performance.
In other words everything and anything is permitted and everything is recorded.
Song composition as well as performance is a 'here and now' process.

the great thing about it is (was, as I currently lack an old x386 to put the card in) that it had a pretty cool interface for programming frequency-oriented soundscapes ... if anything I'm going to start using it again some of these days.
