01.09.08 TINKERBELL - Debut Album out in Japan on November the 5th 2008 (Radtone Music/Alkemist Fanatix Europe).
After a two years long and productive guidance, supervision and allot of hard work we are finally ready to push TINKERBELL across the world. Tinkerbell is very young and talented pop-rock band formed during 2005 in a small town called Livorno, on Italy's west coast. After having signed a full artist agreement with Alkemist Fanatix Europe, Tinkerbell produced (with Alessandro Paolucci and Alessandro Sportelli's guidance) their first self-titled album at Westlink Recording Studio. To start the ball rolling on the band's new journey with a highly motivated professional attitude Alkemist Fanatix Europe was able to quickly License Tinkerbell's album with Japanese label Radtone Music, a great label based in Tokyo (known for having released bands such as Melody Fall, Your Hero, A Wilhelm Scream, The Swellers etc). Radtone Music operated under the umbrella of the Japanese Public Company called Media Factory (Pokemon, anime, manga etc) who will take care of releasing and promoting the album in Japan. Release date is scheduled for November the 5th 2008. Mr Tomoyuki Jufuku, head of Media Factory's Music A&R comments "We are delighted to be releasing Tinkerbell. A fresh, young band with a fresh, young sound for all the cool kids to fall in love with in Japan. The bands unique yet familiarly catchy and powerful sound combined with a professional, long-term plan and hard working attitude will ensure success for them. We are delighted to be involved with the band in Japan". And from now...Tinkerbell are committing themselves to kick the asses on the road. Don't miss it! Tinkerbell is a pop-rock band formed in winter 2005 in a small town called Livorno, on italy's west coast. Four students decided to start an "after-school band" inspired by 90's californian punk-rock myths. In the very first moment, the group was formed by two brothers: Simo (guitar vox) and Ale (Bass vox), soon two other friends joined the band: Ema (guitar vox) and Fede (ex drummer). However Simo and Ale used to play before Tinkerbell's project: Ale played in a Blink 182 cover band called "WeakMinded" with Albe and Michi (tinkerbell's actual drummer and third guitar). They've been playng since they were 17, while Simo was about 15 when he played in another old school band called "Summer Evenings" with Ema. It is curious to notice that both bands came from the same underground scene...it's no wonder that Tinkerbell is pratically a mixture between theese two band's members. It was right after "WeakMinded" splitted that Ale started writing his own songs with his brother Simo playing acoustic. Summer Evenings weren't so stable after all, infact, they splittted to create something bigger: Tinkerbell. Finally the band was formed: Ale(vox bass), Simo(Vox guitar), Ema (vox Guitar) and Fede(drums). Tinkerbell started touring around Italy and soon realized that Fede was not involved like the other members. When he left, Albe took his place and he's still the band's drummer. A few months later Tinkerbell recorded their first self-released demo ("The cry of a broken heart") and only after two days they were noticed by Carlo Bellotti, Alkemist Fanatix owner. Encouraged by this guy, the band recorded two songs more. About six months before the recording sessions, Tinkerbell signed a full artist agreement with Alkemist Fanatix Europe and a little bit later Michi came by. With the new entry the lineup was finally complete and ready to start the recording sessions; in fact from February 2008 to July 2008 Tinkerbell produced with Alessandro Paolucci and Alessandro Sportelli their first self-titled album "Tinkerbell" at Westlink recording studio. By now each of Tinkerbell members is influenced by different groups and sounds: Albe is inspired by groups like Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold but also Californian punk-rock bands. Simo is influenced by Indie and alternative sounds like Jimmy eat world, Relient K, Artic Monkeys etc. Ale is inspired mostly by pop-rock groups like Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Mest etc. Michi follows the wave of Californian pop-punk bands like New found Glory, Yellowcard, Hellogoodbye but also enjoy the light sounds of Dashboard confessional etc. Ema is attracted mostly by alternative and electronic sounds like Jimmy eat world, Postal service, Byork, Sigur Ross etc. Tinkerbell sounds are not influenced by the desire of writing new songs, but from the meeting of different feelings and emotions that every member of the group feels. Talking about experiences on stage, Tinkerbell toured all around Italy with a lot of different bands and friends, they won the Livorno Rock Festival in winter 2007. Tinkerbell isn't reflected by the actual Italian musical scene and it belongs to the actual U.S. underground sound. Tinkerbell are usually compared to bands like Fall out Boy and Yellowcard. Maybe future is truly holding for the guys the *lifestyle of the rich and the famous*, maybe not... by now...they are committing themselves to kick the asses on the road. Don't miss it!
