ABOUT US
Tint
Magazine is a grassroots multicultural independently published magazine,
created to "Celebrate Women of Every Color". Tint Magazine's dimensions are 8.5
x 11 with a full color cover and back with black and white interior pages, and
usually has anywhere from 35-50 pages. It's composed of the writing [both
fiction and non-fiction] and artwork from a multitude of voices; women from all
walks of life, from all over the world. The zine covers a variety of topics
including issues of the mind, body, spirit, entertainment, culture, style, and
real life.
MISSION
- To publish an independent magazine for and by
women.
- To speak to and celebrate women of every color
from around the world through culture, style, real life, mind, body, and
spirit.
- To provide a voice for minority and
underrepresented women in the city of Detroit and across the globe.
- To redefine the beauty and strength of women by
featuring and profiling real women.
- To recognize the importance of cultural, physical,
and intellectual diversity.
- To promote global & self awareness, human rights,
and tolerance.
- To cover a variety of topics with an
unconventional and progressive slant.
- To ensure career and empowerment opportunities for
women in the community.
- To establish and maintain positive relationships
with like-minded organizations and businesses.
