movies, music, tv, writing, reading, animals, photography, nature...i guess that's the big stuff. i like a lot of things. i'm very curious, so, most things i want to know about.

Music
generally speaking my music interests can be summed up by the phrase "chicks with guitars." but here's most of what i love. Sarah Mclachlan, who possibly has the most beautiful voice on the planet, No Doubt, Dido(yum), Michelle Branch(yum), Sheryl Crow, Anna Nalick, who's not only ridiculously talented but also incredibly beautiful, Linkin Park, Alanis Morisette, Evanescence(amy lee YUM), Eve6, who are now officially back together ..m/, The Corrs, Bif Naked, awesome voice and sexy in a strange way, Lisa Loeb, Avril Lavigne, Garbage, The Cranberries, Shea Seger(who's from my home town), Nirvana, classic rock, and 80s stuff too. i basically like everything that isn't rap, country, or hard core heavy metal rock shit.

Movies
my all time favorite movie ever is THE LORD OF THE RINGS(the extended versions). but i love horror movies(never get scared myself). Dracula 2000 is a good one, and Resident Evil. underworld 1 and 2, good movies plus they take kate beckinsale(who is mind-blowingly hot to begin with) stick her in a skintight latex catsuit with a corset, give her all those kickass weapons and FANGS, who wouldn't melt at that?
i like comedies and action movies too. not too big a fan of the romance types, but some can be good. i'll watch just about anything though.
Television
xena of course, i'll always love those girls. i still love my Buffy, i have all the seasons on dvd and i love them. i'm in love with Willow, what can i say? i like veronica mars, roswell, x-files, bones(love that show, bones and booth have such good chemistry), ghosthunters, ghosthunters international, monster quest, destination truth, csi, lost, supernatural(though i haven't seen the last couple seasons due to timeslot issues), cartoons-teen titans, simpsons, daria, family guy, futurama-though i don't have much time for them anymore. the first couple seasons of the L word, the tudors.
i watch a LOT of tv.
Books
The Lord of the Rings is the best book ever. hands down. tied with it would be The High House by James Stoddard. cryptozoology and paranormal books of any kind(even the worst ones still have something worthwhile in them); my favorite is bernard heuvelmans' in the wake of the sea-serpents, good luck finding your own copy though, it's out of print. otherwise, i like poetry(typically Romantic and Victorian), Poe, Dickinson, Teasdale, Shelley, Frost, Neruda. i like books. i like fantasy and poetry and photograph books. nature books.
Heroes
when i was younger i idolized Renee O'Connor, and i suppose i always will. she's my hero, which is nice cuz she's pretty damn cool:). i love xena. you may call it cheesy or dumb or get angry about the lesbian subtext(which became not so much sub), but it is still insanely important to me. and i miss it(obviously). i will always love it. the sight or sound of it always brings a smile to face:). Tolkien, obviously, it's just crazy what the man did. i sometimes wonder what it would have been like if he'd lived to finish everything he hoped to. and Joss Whedon i would have to say, he's just....how can he write such GREAT stuff? the man is a genius, an absolute gifted genius. the "father of cryptozoology" bernard heuvelmans. besides creating the word, he did so much for the field. a field that would not exist as we know it without the work he did. i only wish that i could get ahold of all his books(in english). hopefully the set they are soon publishing of all his books with a bio in his native french will be translated as well. then there's Alyson Hannigan, cuz, as i said before, i'm in love with Willow. and of course, Veronica Mars.:)
