About Tirzah Lemmens [new EP - now available on itunes!]
I am a singer-songwriter from Minnesota, influenced by artists like Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Colbie Caillat, Fiona Apple, Etta James, Aimee Mann, Over The Rhine, Leigh Nash, and others. My sound can be described as piano-driven Pop/Folk/Soul.
I have just returned to Minnesota from the East Coast where I recorded an EP, which is now available!
A little about me:
I grew up in a small town in Minnesota. I began performing with my dad, singing and playing keyboards in his band, when I was fourteen. I attended Northwestern College and graduated in May 2008 with BA in general music. My last semester of college was spent at a study-abroad program called the Contemporary Music Center, an exclusive artists' colony on an island off the coast of Massachusetts. While studying there I was able to really work on writing and defining my sound. Those four months were a wonderful, growing experience where I was able to collaborate with a bunch of other artists and music executives in a small community, which was amazing. In January of this year I returned to the CMC as an artist-in-residence to work on writing and recorded my EP (which, I’m happy to report, is NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!).

Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you and praying for you today. I know that you are making some huge moves and decisions in your life right now and although its exciting, I know there are some parts of it that are not that easy too.
