MySpace a place for friends

i believe that beauty exists in everything. it resides in what we consider to be dirty, commonplace, tragic, scary, and not only in what is obvious. through the lens of my camera truth seeps into my perspective, showing me the reality of what lies before me. nothing is bad or ugly, it simply is. with the simplicity of mere existence comes beauty by default. perception, then, becomes the key to unlocking the truth. it is my goal to assist in the questioning and evaluation of what we hold to be important, beautiful, and significant through capturing images that show a more obvious beauty of subjects not commonly considered. the subjects i capture are not always visual themselves either, they belong rather to that which we feel. a thought becomes a moment in time when the eyes softly drift downward and the face becomes unaware of itself. hope proves its presence through light at the end of a tunnel. familiarity and the relation of one thing to another appears on a rainy street where a palm tree has worn the paint on a building by its top beating against it due to wind over time. i grew up in chicago wanting to become first an astronaut, then an archeologist, then a marine biologist only to realize space, land, nor sea were enough, i wanted the universe in its entirety, as a result i've pursued the life of an artist. i have taken it upon myself to explore and communicate my findings.
