In the Silver Era of the Fourth Age a black cloud swept across the once green and plentiful valley, leaving dry rivers and broken trees in its wake. The people who called this once beautiful place home cried out for help, only to intensify the wrath of this nameless evil. Then, when it seemed that all hope was lost, from the depths of a forgotten time, they arose...
Man, oh man! Do I love me some Titans of Oblivion! The local four-piece (Misters Steven Szwaja, Ron Wesley, Phil Austin, and Ryan Moore) takes all the best parts of heavy, doped-out '70s rock, strips it of any pretentious proggy poop and turns it into a very modern and totally PDX-y sound. We got Jimi Hendrix Hawkwinded into a Led'n Zep sludge fest where members of the Who, Sabbath, and Blue Cheer pop up like the plastic moles in the Whack-a-Mole arcade. Only you don't bop 'em over the noggin with a mallet; you totally rock out to 'em!
- Grant Morris, Portland Mercury
This local four-piece will give you flashbacks to the golden era of rock ’n’ roll – big, epic riffs and monstrous, stomping grooves that’ll have you banging your head and raising your fists in ecstatic glory.
- Barbara Mitchell, Portland Tribune
Weighty and aggressive, the Titans of Oblivion play a foot stomping rock’n’roll like the masters of ‘70s rock, bold with crazy wall-sweating guitars and a foundation-cracking beat. The Titans skirt the line between dark emotions and vivid joy, mixing the best of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy. Billed with Rose Hill Drive and Mars Hall for a concussive night of rock, the walls of Berbati’s Pan will rattle and shake from the shear force of this show, ensuring feathered-haired flashbacks in anyone older than 25. Consider this concert-therapy; it’s guarantied to help you get over the hump of the week in classic head banging style.
