Influences
When someone wants to borrow money and promises to pay you back and gives you a long story about their car's transmission troubles and how they only need 10 dollars to get it fixed and then you fall for it and then think later, wow, I really got taken. Or when you buy a money order from the post office and the post office loses it and you have to pay them 5 bucks to reclaim it and file for a refund.
Eric, Jim, and Brandon began Title One as a project after a previous band Jim and Brandon were in (with Eric setting up shows/managing) had split up and called it quits. After plenty of cassette releases (with titles such as, "Music for Surveyors" and "Music for the Family Fallout Shelter"), Title One released their first CD e.p. entitled, "Twenty songs in Twenty Minutes" and toured the east coast promoting it. Their next album started with recording sessions at MTSU studios (with Kevin Newman engineering) and continued recording and mixing as tracks were brought back to Corner Room Studios for completion. Months and then years later, the band saw their second CD release, "Unimplemented Trap" named after a cryptic Mac OS9 message on the old beige G3 which they were using to mix their tracks. The group has been on hiatus since 2002. Jim has continued with The Heroes are Horses, Brandon with Vest with Hood, and Eric with The Knight and Chicken at the Great Wall of China (all amid other projects split between each of the members).
