ONCE UPON A TIME...... ...in a land called Massachusetts, in a kingdom called Northampton, there lived two girls and a boy. They had all been playing music since their awkward preteen years, planning to follow their dreams of being in a band. Their dreams came true in the form of several bands: Jen played in Flower Thief, Joel played in Puddywad, and Teri played in Crystalized Movements. Though these bands collectively toured the land (well, to Texas and back), playing with the likes of Urge Overkill, Tsunami, Blake Babies, and Bikini Kill, fate had it's way and the bands broke up. Ever relentless, these gals and guy managed to find each other after surviving the evil process of seeking like minded musicians through flyers and other sordid measures. Finally, Tizzy was formed. They began playing with local and unlocal bands (Throwing Muses, Half Japanese, Versus, Dambuilders, Small Factory, etc.) and putting out records. Thier music- melodic, distorted, pop/punk? Influences range from Husker Du to the Velvet Underground. Determined to further their adventures, they embarked on a self-booked tour in the summer of 1995, a second tour booked through a real live booking agent in the summer of 1996, and finally, a third self-booked tour in the summer of 1999. Their trusty van gasped it's last breath outside of Arlington, VA, and overcome with despair from not being able to go on, set itself on fire as a tribute to punk rock forever! Ok, the van caught fire. That's all. In 1999, Tizzy exploded into the hearts and souls of music lovers everywhere with "Scary in Adulthood"- the perfect antithesis to the bland pop cocktail saturating radio stations. In 2001, Tizzy followed up with a brand new CD, "Down with the Furies", and a new guitarist, Caleb Wetmore, of The Mitchells fame. They played extensively throughout the East Coast, and even received the honor of opening for legendary band, Fugazi. In 2002, Tizzy is still rocking, working on new material with Matt Weston, the latest of the Tizzy guitar gods to take on the rock. Caleb's still rocking with the Mitchells as well as New Radiant Storm King. The last chapter in this story begins when you turn on your stereo. You listen to Tizzy, Tizzy rocks for you, you like Tizzy, and everyone lives happily ever after.

.. Hi there Tizzy first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people you can click the link below to visit our profile which wlil provide you with more information and also give you the link to our website! I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
