Bio:

Apparently I am supposed to tell you bits and pieces about My Self good luck deciphering; I am a Botswana based writer, poet, performer, columnist, workshop facilitator, arts administrator and all round word addict. I have had and continue to have the pleasure of sharing the stage with many a gifted wordsmith. I am primarily a solo performer but love to jam with instrumentalists, beat boxers and vocalists when the magic meets the word. My tenure as Mentor to the 2007/08 National champions in the British Council's poetry-storytelling-rap initiative "Power in the Voice" gave me a lot of on the ground time to work with highschool students through those three mediums. Since founding Exoduslivepoetry! in 2002 with a few friends a fair number of whom have become legends on the streets on Botswana, Ive gone on to perform in Johannesburg, Delhi, Cambridge and a number of hot spots in between. On a corporate level my voice has been commissioned by various organisations including but in no way limited to Debswana diamond Co.,Miss Botswana 2005 & 2007, the German Technical Cooperation, SADC as well as for the President of Botswana's annual concert. Need to pay the rent, right? Debut collection and selected recordings are in the works.
