Singer Tje Austin (pronounced TYE) was born and adopted in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in a military family and so moved around often, living in states like North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona and even over seas in Okinawa, Japan. After high school, Tje Austin moved to Austin, Texas to attend college. Soon he decided to establish himself as a musician and singer in Austin, and began performing in coffee shops and bars. As luck would also have it, he connected with musicians Brian Ferguson and Will Wolfe who soon became members of his band.
In the late spring 2008, Tje Austin began recording and released Love Me Knots which helped introduce him online via Itunes and Amazon. In fall 2008, Tje Austin also featured original song “Today Tomorrow” on the indie hit movie Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom. Tje Austin is currently recording his next two cds, a live version of Love Me Knots, and the follow up titled Ordinary, which is planned for a 2009 release.
