Gathering Tropical Fish, Robotics, Biological Filtration systems (mostly aquatic), breeding/raising tropical Fish, Engines of all sizes, solar arrays, just about any engineering problem requiring actual thought, aqua/aero dynamics.
Currently I am working with Gulf Coast Crustacean Research trying to identify several micro-critters we have here in our gulf. Also I raise Corals and am providing the space for some of the tanks they keep stuff in. As well as breeding wierd fish, Counting Species in our Gulf and generally having the time of my life. Also I play with deceased Marine Electronics for a break from computers when boating is just not an option.
I also Tow old Junk Boats out of Marinas and from Private Parties. Most I give away, Some I play with first and then give away. I try to give them to people working out of labor halls and just out of prison, make sure they know where they can anchor, make sure the bilge pumps work call it good type of thing. We only help the ones I know are trying. if you are looking for a tax break, I would recommend Boat Angel Ministries as they are the only ones I know are helping more than their own pockets. Me, I aint gonna file an NPO I am too retired for these projects to become more than a hobby. One of my Focus areas of study is the life in waters from other areas if anyone feels like sending water/plant samples in any quantity at all, it is Gulf Coast Crustacean Research, 791 Porpoise RD, Venice, Florida 34293. Persons outside the US need to put "water/plant Samples" on the packaging or it will not clear Customs. I am trying to see what micro-crustaceans and other critters that other areas have or lack when compared to our local gulf waters. Also I watch the effects of introducing small quantities of water from other areas into tanks containing cheap corals that I raise for this purpose (IE: does it cause a feeding response, does it cause a withdrawal of the corals) Nothing really organised but the results are usually posted for future reference.

Well after some thought I decided I cant tell you but quite possibly it could be that my favorite book was based on another book whose name allegedly might be based on the book about johnny apple-seed.
Further;
It could be that the name of my favorite book was possibly and perhaps intentionally re-named and alluded to a popular subculture herbal substance which may have replaced the original aforementioned fruit as a precedent to seed in the title which could have been modified to reflect the spreading of the aforementioned herbal substance across a country located in the Americas possibly in the northern regions. It may possibly be said that the book could have in part been a fantasy about the possibility of certain dogs no longer being trained to smell any of what might be a member of the Cannibus family . Due solely to the abundance of such a plant-type of herb in just about every open patch of ground as a direct or indirect result of seeding the aforementioned plant, perhaps an herb.
The text in question could end with a vague reference to the possibility of such a series of events leading every person who may have possession of seeds for the aforementioned herbal type of plant to spread their seeds everywhere and help the possibly fictional person see the reality of such a thing in that persons (who may or may not be probably fictional) Lifetime.
It may have been alluded to by a person or representative thereof that the above reference could well be to a very real text: Written by someone who may or may not have been in the employ of a federal judicial bench for some unnamed country possibly in the northern regions of the Americas at the time of its writing.
Perhaps it was the only 400 or so pages I truly laughed all the way through.

Just your average nerd. I spend most days (and nights) working on computers, robots or I go out gathering Fish, small crustaceans and plant life from our wonderful gulf. Not really much to tell. I am basically retired, comfortable. I still take on networks for something to do and to keep sharp. Just a big bearded Hippie wandering our Florida waters these days.

I am not a rascist (kind of impossible being Jewish), I am not a bigot but I can and will joke about anyone or anything. I believe in the Constitution and The Bill Of Rights - If you are against any part of those 2 then I would rather you did not let me know about it. I firmly believe that If you can't deal with that, you probably need to go back to yankee country.
I mostly am studying micro-crustaceans but I raise a little eco-friendly live rock, some exotic corals and breed some very rare shrimp to pay for most of it - kind of a thing where its just enough to keep the hobby out of my pocket sort of thing. I still take on the occassional network and do a little automation as well as build coral gardens/ponds for folks in their pools - proceeds from the coral gardens and ponds go to pay for the minor reef restoration projects I am involved in. If you look in my pics you will see some of what I do.
I seem to be the guy that folks bring injured wildlife to but hey I have 3 squirrels living in the house and a family of raccoons that sits out back by my tanks with me (OK so a couple of them often come in the house for breakfast too) So I guess its all good.
I build a bunch of wierd stuff like small diesel jet boats, over powered skiffs and so forth. Pretty much apt to fix stuff for folks just to have an excuse to be anywhere but here, the marina or the lab. I am a private person, pretty much an introvert but friendly as a puppy when its just 1 or 2 people. I was the nerd who sold you your homework and crib notes in school and am still a nerd today. I look like a hairy assed biker or hillbilly or hippie - take your pick but I am still just your average nerd.
I aint rich, probably wont ever be but I aint worried about it either. If you can accept me 'as is' I will do the same for you.

I burp, fart, snore,squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom, work on the tiniest of electronics over my lap while sitting indian style on the living room carpet, am prone to not wearing shoes most of the time and am somewhat of a slob. I firmly believe that when I buy a piece of clothing - it has a lifetime commitment and I do not necessarily mean its lifetime. I am generally working on something or other and seem inattentive.
My best friend happens to be a lesbian. I have 3 Squirrels living in the house, frequently eat ice cream with a local family of raccoons out back by close to 8200 gallons of aquariums (multiple tanks - all one system).
I pretty much spend every spare penny on boats, boating, my aquariums and the rest I usually put into the pot for Gulf Coast Crustacean Research and am therefore broke most of the time.
I have an IQ off the scale yet have to be reminded to eat or sleep most of the time.
I like sex and it is about the only way to get me to drop what I am doing but I am a typical nerd and you should consider old copies of Byte Magazine (from back when they still had source code in it) or such great works as the "Toshiba Semiconductor Reference" to be nerd pornography for the mind and therefore possibly more enticing to me than casual sex.
I disappear for days or weeks at a time and go wandering, snorkeling or even beaching - depends on how much money I have to spend that week. Generally I will come home when I am close to broke and barely have enough to order food and smokes until the next retirement check comes in.
I buy nothing on credit, have absolutely no sympathy for those that do.

When I do get into a relationship I am faithful once it is established that that is what it is. I go into WalMart at 2am to avoid people yet will build stuff in Home Cheapo or Lowes to the amusement (or amazement - depends on point of view) of often small crowds of people. I also often spend time buying bottles (I dont drink)for the winos behind the liqour store and at the docks so I can hear their stories and jokes and such for a while.
The beard and hair are not going to go away no matter how good you look..... Still interested in being more than friends? E-nag me one time - if it does not yeild an actual meeting I will shoot you straight to the friend zone before the second e-mail and not pursue it beyond friendship from that point on.
