Father God, many times the pain and hurt is caused by those we know the best, Our family and our closest friends...Lord, we pray that we will come to you in prayer and that the pain will be able to ease. We know that pain of the heart will take time to ease, but we pray that peace will come to us...We also pray that when we go to those that have hurt us they will be willing to say they are sorry for what was said. Father God, many times what was said or done, was done in anger. We pray that you will curb what comes out of our mouths. for what we say can be like a two edged sword, the power between Life and Death of our hearts. We pray for a calm and peace to come over all involved. We ask and pray this in your name. Isaiah 46:8-10 ____________________________________________________ Can You See God? Author Unknown:: A small boy once approached his slightly older sister with a question about God. "Susie, can anybody ever really see God?" he asked. Busy with other things, Susie curtly replied: "No, of course not silly. God is so far up in heaven that nobody can see him." Time passed, but his question still lingered so he approached his mom: "Mom, can anybody ever really see God?" "No, not really," she gently said. "God is a spirit and he dwells in our hearts, but we can never really see Him." Somewhat satisfied but still wondering, the youngster went on his way. Not long afterwards, his saintly old grandfather took the little boy on a fishing trip. They were having a great time together. The sun was beginning to set with unusual splendor and the grandfather stared silently at the exquisite beauty unfolding before them. On seeing the face of his grandfather reflecting such deep peace and contentment, the little boy thought for a moment and finally spoke hesitatingly: "Granddad, I--I-- wasn't going to ask anybody else, but I wonder if you can tell me the answer to something I've been wondering about a long time. Can anybody - can anybody ever really see God?". The old man did not even turn his head. A long moment slipped by before he finally answered. "Son," he quietly said. My heart beats at an erratic, rapid pace Waiting for the next “ball to drop” Anxious and uncertain, the days continue. Existing on faith alone Being carried on eagle wings Waiting for life to move beyond This constant pain of uncertainty Seeking a glimmer of light in this abyss. With time, a spark of light begins The geese fly over head returning north The robins begin to appear seeking worms Each miracle nurtures this spark As it slowly struggles to take hold Nurturing tit with the opportunity to grow. Healing comes with soul searching Reconciliation occurs when memories are transformed Yearning, exhausted the journey begins Yet it is only in taking the risk of this journey That life in all its beauty can begin again.
