TLC in JAPAN- APRIL 4, 2009
Experimenting back in 1992 with a unique blend of hip-hop, R&B and pop. TLC created a sound that eventually stamped a new era in music and paving the way for many artist out today. The trio charted four Billboard Top 10 singles off their debut album, Ooooooohhh...on the TLC Tip. Late 1994, TLC received their first No. 1 smash, Creep and other Top 10 hits, Diggin’ On You, Red Light Special & Kick Your Game. The empowering girl group help fade out the CrazySexyCool era with their biggest single ever, Waterfalls in the summer of 1995. The society-inspiring mega hit spent seven weeks at No. 1, making it one of the most successful songs by a female group ever. CrazySexyCool became “Best-Selling Hip-Hop Album of All Time” according to Guinness World Records in 1998. It accomplished as one of the first albums ever to receive a diamond certification plaque by the RIAA: signifying 10 million records sold. Early 1999, TLC proved they still had reign in the music industry. The monsterous group topped the charts for the third time with No Scrubs for the follow-up third LP, Fanmail. The record was dedicated to the fans. Later that summer for the fourth and last time with the self-esteemed Unpretty, spending nearly a month at No. 1. On heavy socializing days I like to give helpful advice
So I'll share tape #1 from my series
"How To Become Cool Over Night"
"Flirt Work Exercise"
Before putting in flirt work Jog in place Do several jumping jacks with loud hand claps Clear throat with goat like sounds After witnessing all of this If, she is still around Prepare to let some clever words out Put on bifocals See the words, correctly Really focus And speak "Hi How are you doing?"
Now consider yourself an expert Who should never have to seek advice on this subject again Proceed to next tape "Getting the first date in"
Today I tried to get away from the madness of the city Went to a farm to relax Ran across a loud mouth hip hop cow That called himself
"Legend Dairy"
I'll admit, he could milk a beat And his words flowed like butter But his catch phrases "Word to the Udders" And "Moo Over!!!" Came up way too often And The chips he was eating Were suspect, at best While praising his minister, Pastor Eyes He deep branded a tattoo Right before my eyes
Talking about things that "could be Found up In the great round up" His dancer circling around us
I figured I needed to U-Tube These dudes because Who'd believe me?
When his D.J., Udder Lee Closed my laptop and said "Take it easy There is only one brand of computer you can use That will get you through the gateway Ain't that right, 'Mac'?" He motioned to his yes cow knowing full well what he would say
So, I decided to just forget about the whole crazy incident And ask you How was your day?
Great profile. Peace and progress. Many thanks for adding me and looking forward to your comment.. Any suggestion is welcome. Hope you enjoy and dance to my Music. All the best wishes. Farid
