With influences that range from The Beatles to rap legend Nas to folk music icon Bob Dylan, TL Cross's music not only has a global appeal, his sound is so diverse it has a genre all its own--World Soul. According to the Columbia Encyclopedia, World Soul is the universal spirit that which connects the human soul to the body. TL Cross has taken this concept and applied it to his music, creating a unique sound. Have no doubt; his music is definitely cutting edge. TL Cross' pure passion for music took hold of him as a five-year-old child while performing in church under the guidance of his father, who doubled as the minister of music. Growing up in Queens, New York, he knew music was his destiny. "As long as I can remember, this is all I ever wanted to do", says TL Cross, who is readying his debut EP "World Soul EP Vol. 1", for fall release of 2012 with the help of his longtime production partners Da Gutta Fam- (formerly Carpe Diem) and Grammy Award producer Needlz, and super producer Bink! Da Gutta Fam have penned and produced countless classic records for artists ranging from Usher, Faith Evans, Musiq, Carl Thomas, Ghost face, and 50 cent. The team also crafted Montell Jordan's hit record "Get It on Tonight," which garnered the crew an R&B and Pop stripe. The "World Soul" EP is filled with sexy ballads and up-tempo grooves as exhibited in TL Cross debut classic "Audience". Among the standout tracks are the introspective "It's your life", which showcases his songwriting skills and captivating vocals; and "Heaven Is Where You Are", & "New York City Boy", songs that push the boundaries musically and vocally. As well as writing and producing, the CD also highlights Cross' other musical talents.
