I love spending time with my boys. They are incredible! However, when they allow it, I like to cross-stitch and research my family tree. My family history is typical for an American. My ancestry is a blend of German, Irish, Native American (Lenni Lenape and Cherokee) and French. My husband's family has added (more)German, Russian and Welsh to the mix for our children. History fascinates me. Culture intrigues me. Language mystifies me. Religion bewilders me. I love to learn. I do alot of reading and research in my pursuit of knowledge. The books on my shelves tell alot about me. Besides the romance fiction (which takes up more than half!) I have several books on Native American peoples/culture/history which I was obsessed with while I was a teen. I've visited as many pow-wows in my area every year, as often as possible. Then I moved into the Regency times and I dream of visiting London to walk the same streets those Lords and Ladies walked. And throughout it all (again besides the romance!) was the paranormal. Ghosts and spirits, tales of hauntings. I have experienced many peculiar events which have led me to believe there is something beyond. Vampires and werewolves whose tragic history and folklore leave me breathless in wonder.

Heroes
My husband is the hero in all my stories. And so is Colin Firth.
I am a new author with a short story soon to be published with the Wild Rose Press. I also won third place in the 2008 Dawn Thompson Memorial Haunted Hearts contest. I write mostly gothic romances featuring vampires, werewolves and ghosts as well as any other paranormal creature imaginable.
I am married to a wonderful man and I am the mother of two. I inherited my love for reading and writing from my mother. She taught me how to glue a book to my nose and still have a coherent conversation with someone in the same room. I completed my first novel when I was 15. It took me 7 days of my summer vacation to finish. The story was based on a dream I had; a fantasy that still remains one of my favorites. My senior year in high school I took a creative writing class where I learned I could actually make a career out of my hobby. After finishing high school, I got hired at a local Waldenbooks where I went from Seasonal Clerk, to Part-time Bookseller, to Full-time Assistant Manager. I've been working there for over 10 years now. When I became a mother I went part-time to spend time with my children and focus on my writing.
My husband is a German WWII re-enactor who knows everything there is to know about the 1930’s and 40’s, especially regarding Germany. He’s talking me into writing a WWII era story, a romance by my insistence and if I have it my way it’ll have a vampire or two. If anyone is interested in checking out his page, he’s number 1 on my Top Friends list. And remember folks, this is nothing political, it’s just his love for history.
Marc and I have been together for 14 years and in that time we’ve traveled to many places, but my two favorites are Bamburg, Germany and New Orleans, Louisiana. We’re hoping to go back to Europe again someday since I would love to visit Ireland, London and see more of Germany. I’m fascinated with the paranormal and I would love to explore haunted castles! During our stay in Germany, we weren’t lucky enough to have any ghostly encounters. Maybe next time!
Who I'd like to meet: Mike Rowe and Samantha Brown because they seem like alot of fun to hang out with. Gerard Butler, of course. Readers and writers of all genres.
Here's a clip for all my writer friends from That Mitchell and Webb Look.
As a winter present for everyone, I'm offering a free novella on my website.
