Tommy Marshalls Ambassadors are two lads brought up in the smog filled North East who enjoy writing acoustic music. Previously they have sung lead vocals and played the odd bit of guitar in bands but they both decided that the heavy kind of indie rock scene wasn’t for them. They formed in 2006 and after writing a few songs they began looking for gigs. Since then this band has been catching people’s eyes with their classic rhythms and interesting songs. They have played a selection of gigs including Middlesbrough Music Live and Stockton Riverside Festival.
They are now set to return to the recording studio and are looking for more gigs.
If anyone has information about possible gigs please send messages to: tommymarshallsambassadors@hotmail.co.uk or alternatively get in contact through this MySpace account.
PHOTOS
Some of the photos that you see on our space were taken by Brian who is the Writers Cafe photographer (for example our main display picture)....So thanks to him for letting us use them. Also the pictures of us recording are courtesy of Mr. James McCue....Check out his bands MySpace...there called Hooper, So cheers to his fine work as well.
THE RECORDINGS
Thanks to Mr. James McCue we have been recording a short debut album. You can hear some of the recordings here which have been taken from that. Please leave comments on what you think of our music if you have time. Cheers.
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.
The line up so far is just us and you guys, although I'm trying to get a band called the spheres to headline. The whole thing kicks off at 8pm with you guys going on first and then us at 9pm, so you'll have a good 40-45 mins for a set.
