Of all the turtles, Leonardo is the turtle that studies and trains the hardest. His serious nature and strong sense of responsibility has made him the unofficial leader of the team. Leo is a perfectionist, totally dedicated to the practices and philosophies of Ninjutsu. This dedicated pursuit has created a special bond between Leonardo and his sensei, Splinter. Because of his steely resolve and keen strategic thinking, Master Splinter has determined twin razor sharp katana swords as the weapons best suited for Leonardo.

Quick to anger and slow to cool off, Raphael may have mastered the sai, but he hasn’t been so lucky with his own temper. Even though his own brothers describe him as “out-of-control,” “maniac,” and “hothead,” Raph prefers to think of himself as a “realist!” He is the most fearsome and fearless fighter on the team. Raph will leap into battle no matter what the odds. His flashing twin sais and furious fighting skills led Michelangelo to give him the nickname “Secret Weapon”.

If there’s one turtle that could be described as the “brains” of the TMNT, it’d have to be Donatello. He has the uncanny ability to take a pile of broken, useless gadgets and turn them into ingenious new, fully functioning devices of his own design! When he’s not busy whipping up awesome vehicles like the Battle Shell or turbo-charged Sewer Slider he can be found reading phone book sized technical manuals, updating his web-page, or daydreaming! Long on inspiration and stout of heart, Donatello was the perfect candidate to take up the Bo staff as his weapon of choice.
Michelangelo - The..uh… goofball?

One look at Michelangelo and you’ll know that Turtle’s just wanna have fun! Quick with a joke (and even quicker with the nunchaku), Mikey’s always on the lookout for a laugh. He’ll do anything to crack his brothers up, which can be great when you’re just sitting around the lair, but a problem when you’re about to be skewered by the Shredder! Fortunately, Mikey’s also the most natural athlete of the group, so his serious butt-kickin’ ninja moves are nothing to laugh at! To compliment his flashy, show-stopping tendencies, Splinter selected the nunchaku as the weapon best suited to Michelangelo’s spirit.
Master Splinter - The Sensei

This is the rat that started it all. Without their beloved Master Splinter, the Turtles would just be…well…turtles. But Splinter has taught them well. Even when Splinter was a mere pet rat he was very special. He spent years observing the ninjutsu teachings and wisdom of his human master, Hamoto Yoshi. Through Yoshi, Splinter learned the secrets of the ninja and the warrior’s way. Master Splinter has dedicated his life to passing these skills and teachings on to his sons Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. Though he is wise beyond his years, patient beyond all reason, and incredibly skilled in serious butt-kickin’ ninja techniques, Master Splinter still loves to unwind by watching TV talk shows and soap operas. Go figure!

With her brains, beauty, and a wicked right cross, the Turtles count on April in a number of important ways. With her background in computers and engineering, April is always ready to lend a high-tech helping hand. And with her warm personality and big heart, April has become the Turtles “big sister” and fiercest protector.

It’s been said that there’s “crazy,” and then there’s “craaaaa-zzzzy!” Casey Jones is both! This hockey mask wearing, baseball bat swinging vigilante prowls the concrete canyons of New York City at night, serving up his own twisted brand of street justice with a golf club in one hand and a hockey stick in the other! There was a time when Casey was totally out of control – where, if you break the law in his town, he’d look to break your head (it’s true - - just ask the Purple Dragons!)! But now, thanks to the influence of his four new turtle buds, Casey’s learning that a slapshot to the noggin’ isn’t the only way to take down the bad guys… though he does still think it’s the most fun way….
