Some of the other cats who Tnee really likes to play with are dese ones:
Tnee has radiated music since early childhood, his body swingin' along to life's rhythm and his soul finding its way through life's ever-shifting chord changes.
It's always been easy to see the music coursing through Tnee's body in a live performance - whether as a child banging pots and pans, blasting out bluesy licks on the trumpet during his first years on the Brisbane live music scene or eyes closed singing his heart out at the piano.
This last scenario is the one with which he has fallen in love and become deeply dedicated to. A set with Tnee and friends might venture into a wide range of musical territory, but whether the landscape is the rolling hills of straight ahead swing, the humid jungle of sweaty funk, the slippery slopes of something more experimental or the cool forest clearing of a peaceful ballad, the level of commitment to the music remains deep and the enjoyment is always visible.
Tnee’s sound is a product of his musical education – a melting pot of influences, people and scenarios. Studying music throughout school may have given Tnee some insight into the technical workings of the artform, but it wasn’t until he began playing music with friends at social gatherings that his passion for creative interaction was well and truly ignited.
Throughout his early adult life in music, Tnee’s information came from hanging out on the Brisbane jazz scene, completing a two-year Diploma in Improvised Music and three years of playing music on the street every weekend. It is from this often paradoxical mix of institutionalised learning and experiences playing on the street and mingling with the masses that Tnee’s deep respect, love for and commitment to playing music grew and matured into fruition.
Watching Tnee play, you can't help but hear, see and feel the invitation in the music - it's an invitation to come into the moment, be in the room and feel the energy of music being made right here right now. Whether interpreting the music of the jazz legends of the past or sharing the craft, intimacy and unashamed joy of his own original creations, the connection between Tnee as a performer and the audience as participants in a musical event is always tangible.
Equipped with energetic, creative piano technique and a highly personal, versatile voice, Tnee continues honestly and courageously on a journey towards making music that reaches out to people and invites them into the moment.

Oh by the way, I've been meaning to say...it's so good to hear someone sing standards with their own accent, not some strange sounding half-assed American accent. :)
