We are Toad King, and we hail from the heart of the midwest: Milwaukee. Toad King thrives on group improvisation, weaving free-form sections into tight, dance based songs. We play mostly original music, with styles including folk, reggae/dub, and rock. We cover songs from artists including Bob Marley, The Allman Brothers, The Beatles, Ryan Adams, Robert Walter and The Grateful Dead.
Toad King is a quartet, featuring Jamie Mitchell on guitar, lap steel and vocals, Kramer Kelling bass and backing vocals, Bryan Rogers ..boards, organ and vocals and Scott Roush on drums and percussion.
Toad King has opened up for national touring bands including Bustle in Your Hedgerow - featuring members of the Benevento/Russo Duo, Ween and Particle - and Sam Holt of Outformation, Stir Fried, and many more.
Toad King has also opened for some great Wisconsin bands, including Fat Maw Rooney, Stealin' Strings and The Erotic Adventures of Static Chicken.

FGC is back in Wisconsin this Saturday 8/29 for a special show at Tanner’s Grill and Bar in Kimberly, WI. The second annual “Family Affair” will feature several bands, a free pre-party, vendors, and more, all benefitting the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. This is an ALL AGES show! FGC hits the Memorial Union Terrace at UW-Madison for a FREE SHOW on Saturday July 18, with special guests, The Bridge, opening the night. This is sure to be a fun night of music in one of Madison’s most beautiful settings, and we hope you can join us!
Also coming up in Wisconsin at the end of the month is The 3G’s Music Festival (aka Grateful Garcia Gathering) in Black River Falls. It’s the 6th annual celebration of Jerry Garcia’s birthday, and FGC will be headlining the festivities on Saturday August 1.
